According to Ric Bucher....The Jazz are still very interested in Lee.

There has to be a reason why this Lee thing is taking so long---this, on top of what Lee's agent said the other day does seem to give this rumor some plausibility (is that even a word?).

My clever title was supposed to say, "Anyone feel like Boozing?" Damn, and I thought that was really witty----unlike me.

LOL....this would be a dream.
Do we give it any merit since it's coming from Bucher?
Does anyone have his hit miss record when it comes to teams dealing?
I wouldn't be mad at adding Boozer.

I have liked Boozer ever since the Olympics....he didn't play in the Gold Medal game and he was going crazy cheering on the sideline. I know, I know, everyone should be doing that; but, when has he had a DNP-CD? That impressed me and I have remembered it since.
Plus, I think he would be a great addition.

Who knows....but there has to be a reason that this is taking soooooooooooooooooooooo long.

I can see why Utah would like Lee, especially if the 3 or 4 big rotation is Brewer, Okur, Lee, Koufos. Lots of guys to mix and match who compliment one another.

I think my dream trade would be Okur, trade fodder for Lee, Jefferies

David Lee to Chicago for Jerome James Tyrus Thomas and the Bulls 2010 #1 pick restricted to 5 and then nothing in 2011

David Lee to Sacremento for Jason Thompson Kenny thomas and a 2010 number 1 pick restricted to 5.

David Lee and Cutino Mobley to Utah for Carlos Boozer Matt Harping and Kosta Koufus

Either I get the trade I want or no trade. Im not trading him for crp. Id rather keep him and work it out otherwise

Sign and trade Lee at $9.5 mill and throw in Joe Crawford at $750,000 and that would be within 10% of Boozers 12.6 mill contract right? My math might be off.

What would that give us?
Duhon
Chandler
Gallo
Boozer
Curry

Darko
Nate
Harrington
Jeffries or Hughes

Damn it doesn't look like it'll be many minutes for our 2 rooks.
I really want to see them play.

If you throw in Mobley we can take off 7mm over there salary commitments but I need a nice asset for it as in my pick back or Koufus

the money works

Mobley
Lee
3mm
for
Koufus[or pick]
Boozer
Harpring

don't think Utah would ever give up an all-star and our #1 pick for Lee and savings.

Also, isn't Harpring set to retire? I think that he is still deciding.

Martin...if Utah is trying to save money...don't be surprised what they give up.
When you start making trades to save money and not to make your team better...it's a different ball game.
When companies lose money....they cut costs BY ANY MEANS!!!

Some crap rumor made up to stir up interest before training camp starts. Not surprised that The Knicks Blog picks it up and runs with it.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Certainly could be a "crap rumor"---however, it does seem that there could be a deal worked out that would benefit both teams. Also, it does just seem so odd that this has taken so long. Who knows, but this does seem to be more legit than many of the others (and yes, I know there have been many, many others).

When was the last time he was right? His reporting has fallen off.

Lee for Boozer and Eddie for TMac and I might finally lay off the ol' Don.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

As usual...Hahn shoots down the scenario.
Why would Bucher just put something like this out there?

Hahn is saying the Knicks don't wanna trade lee for a one year rental and plane ok extending him in 2010.

Ok my opinion?

Who cares if boozer is a one year rental if Jordan hill is on deck? Also regardless of injury, I would rather extend boozer than lee.

I would absolutely trade lee for boozer. No question in my mind.

Dont forget tho that Boozer screwed LeBron bigtime when he cheated out of Cleveland. There is almosts definately some bad blood there, and Donnie is wise to maintain the appearance that he wouldnt do anything LeBron might not like.

I thought the same thing when he brought in Hill and Kidd. IMO we were never really in the geriatrics sweepstakes, but the upshot was that everyone now knows that Donnie will not sign anyone or anything past 2009 for fear of jeopardizing FA in 2010. It must be nice to know that a GM is sitting on his hands when some pretty ok deals are offered to him because he believes in you.

It may not be a big deal, but its another small gesture designed to make LBJ feel like we would move heaven and earth for him. Certainly cant hurt.

Boozer is a straight up mercenary. I don't know, he can play, but I'd prefer to cheer for dudes that at least pretend like the orange and blue matters. Maybe I'd be singing a different tune if I thought Boozer would bring a chip but I don't. For that tier of player I'd like to be able to think, "maybe I should get that jersey!" which I would never say about Boozer. As we know he's off to wherever (Chicago is apparently where he wants to be, they need his scoring, and he gets to play with a young point on par with Williams... goes to a comparable team and gets a long term deal)
