Yes. I believe that after the aliens land and assume control of the country they will re-distribute the talent in the NBA in favor of the Knicks. After that, I expect one helluva winning streak.

No the Knicks will not win 40 games this season and if they lose Lee they won't even win 35 games. This team consists of subpar talent and lacks the necessary components to win anything in this league i.e. consistent outside shooting, strong point guard play, and the overall defense is atrocious.

how does losing lee help the D? he may not be a good defensive player but who is going to replace him this year? lee needs to come back, he's arguably the best player the knicks have (top 35 in PER last year, 16/11 @ 55% from FG is nothing to laugh at) though obviously his #'s boosted b/c of

Yes the Knicks can get to 40. The reason is defense. We played short and shorthanded last year. I think we added size and shot blocking and we'll be deeper at PG. We didn't lose cuz we didn't have the talent to compete. We were in the games, but not being able to get stops killed us. We won't be stoppers but getting a few more stops should mean wins.

If Darko has a ressurection and plays at least as well as he did in Orlando.
If Eddy is in shape and can at least give us that burst of points off the bench.
If Lee can play some defense and hit his jump shot more regularly.
If Hill and Douglass don't stink.
If Hughes can take less bad shots.
If Harrington can stop taking so many shots and stop disappearing when he's having good games for full quarters at a time.
If Nate can mature and distribute the ball better and stop taking so many shots and play some defense.
If Chandler can be more aggressive instead of taking deep shots and stop making so many unforced errors.
If Jeffries can bring those intangibles night in and night out and put up those 5/5/5/5 type games.
If Duhon can stay healthy and bring more stamina.
If Gallinari is healthy and can play night in and night out as advertised.
If the team will listen to Mike D more than they did last year.


If that happens then we have a chance to win 40 games.

That's a real long list of IF's many of which we already know the answers to: WONT HAPPEN.

Therefore, no, we won't win any more than 30-something games and this is my eight annual prediction of 35-47 for this club.

And in final...this is not a team that is being tasked to win, it is not a roster you make a big trade to trying to add a player and think it will be the missing piece to success. This is a team waiting out some contracts and looking forward to building a team starting in June 2010 and hopefully being very close to completion by June 2011 looking to compete in the 2011-2012 playoffs.
