Decent player. Nowhere near on the same level as the two other stud PGs in his draft, Paul & Williams, but decent. Low shooting percentages every year. Not what D'Antoni's looking for, I don't think. Probably not even as good a talent as Sessions - at least Sessions plays within his limitations and to his strengths. Good call throwing it out there Elite, he's got some talent & he's still fairly young, but I don't think he's the answer. Nowhere near a bust but definitely not as good a pro as many believed he would be. If we weren't gonna give Sessions the money, there's no way we're paying this guy. I don't even think Larry Brown likes him too much.

I'd really go hard after Ricky Rubio, even if it took Chandler. I really think that's what Donnie should be concentrating on. He makes a lot of sense for us on quite a few levels, even if we had to wait 2 years for him (we need a PG, he's the type of PG our coach would love, he'll become a better outside shooter in time - his shooting form and mechanic looks sound to me on video, every other facet of the game he excels at including defense, he's got size and everyone loves a big PG, he'd really help attract a big-time FA and if it's a 2010 FA, he may only have to wait 1 year to play with him). I say go for it. That's the move to make right now. You try something with Lee & Nate, but if it took Chandler, I could live with it. At the 3 spot we have Gallo who appears a lot healthier now, there is a chance we get LeBron (however remote in some people's minds), there's always Melo in 2011, and we could probably pull the trigger on a Lee to Portland deal tomorrow and bring back at least Travis Outlaw, a fine young SF that I think would thrive in an expanded role. Point is, Chandler's a fine young player but he's replaceable. And Jordan Hill covers nicely at the 4 in the event Lee's ever dealt. If they ever got Ricky Rubio, it might take a little time to come to fruition, but a lot of good things could start happening for this team. It could start a really positive domino effect of things falling into place.

When Felton came out the same year as Deron, I was really, really high on him. I thought he would be as good if not better then DWill. He's got lots of great attributes, speed, shooting, finishing. But he's just not a baller. Passings not great. No consistency, no crunch-time cojones. Personally, Id take Brevin over him as a cheap rental.

And Fine, Id say he may not be an official bust yet, but he's well on the way.

Spencer Felton was a stiff
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

This is one of the funniest things I've ever read on this site. As soon as it was typed Duhon woke up out his slumber and slapped himself even though he's not the one who said it.

Felton can play. He wasn't as good as Paul or Williams coming out and probably will never be but thats not an indictment of him, just the guy who picked him 5th. Felton has a great motor is very quick with the ball and unselfish. Plus he is the type of pg who will fill a stat sheet nightly. Put him in an uptempo system and he will flourish.
the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

I think Felton is really good, imo. I think he is better than Duhon as Felton is a proven starter in this league (either at the 1 or 2) and Duhon is definitely solidifying his status as a career backup.

I would definitely look at Felton (I think he is worth about the MLE, for sure). Especially if you could work out some type of trade to get him(JJ2? Curry for Felton and Raja Bell?)

it's official. You dont know what you're talking about.

Felton is a very good baller and can run a team. He's not on the C.Paul/D.Williams level (how many points are) but, in my opinion, he's a notch below them.

and way better than Sessions.

First off, Ramon Sessions was the 56th drafted player. Felton was the 5th. Felton at 5th is practically bust to me. Also, Felton has had 2 seasons to establish himself as the PG for the Cats and has failed. I thought the kid had all the atributes to be in the DW league, but he doesnt have IT, whtever it is.

And he cant run a team, as is evidenced by the fact that he never has managed to. And no, Duhon, Sessions and multiple other PG's are a few notches below DW et al. Felton is below those guys to the extent that he gets played at SG. A 6'1 SG. Nate Robinson he aint.

Raymond Felton is definitely not a bust. He's just not a superduperstar or an allstar or a star. He's a serviceable starting point that has flaws. He's quick and can play defense and can distribute the ball and can log minutes. He's not going to create many opportunities or be an efficient one-on-one offensive player. If the Knicks could get him for one year I'd definitely take a flyer on the guy but not for any longer than that. And I'd much rather Felton than Sessions too. Felton is simply a better player that doesn't pad his stats in Ricky Davis type fashion

Felton/Duhon splitting minutes at the point gives me a much greater degree of confidence than Duhon/Nate

Felton is a good point guard. Bobcats are playing around with this cat. They aren't looking to get under the cap or anything...I'm suprised another team hasn't jumped in. Maybe the kid is stuck on staying in Charlotte.

I have always liked Felton. I agree mostly with SupremeC, he is servicable PG and would be good buy for a year. If not move on.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Nate is a really a shooting guard. Felton doesn't work out, no loss.

Moving forward summer 2010 and beyond, Felton at reasonable money might be a better option than what is available to us then.

how is a pg that's averaged basically 14/7 since he's been in the league a bust or on his way to being a bust?

I would pass, mostly because his three-point shooting sucks.
