There is absolutely nothing to talk about right now...yet a few players are linked to us. No signs point to any deals getting done...training camp is fast approaching...what the hell man!

I think both the Darko and Douglas moves were good and were made early on. I think the Knicks will have Lee and Sessions by the time training camp starts. It has been relatively quiet but there has been nothing done that would handicap the team future for the long term.

thank you. This is bliss compared to Clarence Weatherspoon and Antonio McDyess and Jamal Crawford and Jerome James and Eddy Curry and Jared Jeffries and Zach Randolph. I vastly prefer having a basketball team to a soap opera.

Ok who says they want a soap opera? Who says they want Clarence Weatherspoon?

You can make the right deal right away and not take the entire summer to do it...look how fast Donnie dumped Craw and Zach...Darko for Q-rich...toney Douglas....

Waiting on Sessions allowed for the Bucks to just make more and more moves to the point where it looks like they won't match the offer now...but damn....

All the Knicks need to do at this point is get Sessions...that's it. He's perfect for the team. David Lee and Nate can wait. Sessions isn't a bum or a bust waiting to happen. He isn't fat and undersized. Not a has been. He's and up and comer with some nice stats. He's a high charecter guy. He plays defense. Blah!

Don't make your post seem like I'm just thirsty for any move....make the right move and move on. If the Knicks got Sessions I would be sitting pretty just waiting on the season.

My thing is...if Sessions is your guy he needs to be a Knick before training camp starts. That's when the table is set. Guys get the chemistry going. Session gets to know his players, etc. You'd like them to do it now so guys can meet up and start the conversation. Guys can start watching tape on each other.

Signing Lee to a massive contract is Laydenesque, signing Felton or even sessions to the full mid-level is Isiahesque....I'm glad we have the godfather in charge but this waiting game on Sessions is ridiculous.

Spin it anyway you want

Not spin; dont take it personal...

But there has been so many threads and posts that have communicated anxiety over this being a slow off season with few personnel moves. Guys have popped so much shyt about DW being asleep and old because he's not wheeling and dealing. Some of that is just people joking, but a lot of cats want moves just for the sake of doing them. Its the NY way to want action.

Zeke definitely got caught up in that.

Good Article about John Starks on HOOPSWORLD:

http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=13663

Starks answered in measured tones. "Yeah, but it's all about winning though, in the end. You would love to end it in Game 6, but Game 7 just wasn't meant to be, for me personally. I came into the game too hyped up, and didn't let the game come to me. I wanted to, you know, get it done and get to the end. Instead, maybe I just didn't play a relaxed game."

Starks then went on to discuss how he has dealt with the aftermath of that game in the many years since the final buzzer sounded. His answers were startlingly honest, the words dripping with disappointment: "You make peace with it, but you never put it behind you. You always think back…" Starks continued, "If I would've done this, or would've done that…if I were to curve myself this way or that way….you always think about that. It's not an every day thing, but sometimes when I sit down, it may pop up in my mind. Not on a daily basis, maybe once a month or something like that, maybe a couple times a month. It all depends though; during the regular season, yeah a little bit more, but its not something that keeps me from moving forward with my life," Starks lamented.

"But you always think about that. You know, you wish you could go back in time and replay everything and then do things a little differently, but unfortunately I can't."

While some will some always hold Game 7 against Starks, many true Knicks fans will always have an unconditional love for MSG's fiery favorite. In retrospect, Starks' sins pale in comparison to what he brought to the organization, and the city. While his shot may have abandoned him at a key moment or two, his effort never waned. Not for a minute. He represented New York every time he put on that Knicks uniform, and that is what so many choose to remember.

I agree it's a boring off-season. Maybe that's a good thing. Maybe the season will be boring as well, and that could also be good. It could allow me to spend more time working on my match book collection.
