At 6 p.m., Robinson was arrested for driving with a suspended license. He was being booked at the 52nd Precinct.

Not sure why he was stopped in the first place.

Why would an NBA player have a suspended license? That is poor management on nate's part.

damn, this guy does not like to follow rules.
In September 2006, Robinson was cited for disobeying a traffic signal in White Plains, NY. After failing to pay the fine, his license was suspended in April 2007, but reinstated a day later when he forked over the $75 fine.

In December 2007, he was ticketed for failing to signal on a Manhattan street, and fined $40.

Within a four-month span in early 2008, Robinson was twice cited for speeding in White Plains, and once for driving without his seat belt on in the same city. The fines in those cases totaled $425.

This past January, in The Bronx, Robinson was ticketed for driving without his seat belt on, and for driving while talking on a cell phone. He was fined a total of $80.

Records show that his license was suspended a whopping four times since June 2008 for failing to pay ticket fines or answer summons, including the most recent suspension, which was issued this past June 23.

He's gone man. If there was any thought of bringing him back for a 1 year deal, it may have just gone out the window. D'Antoni doesn't like him anyway - he doesn't want to deal with this guy anymore. Sad, this guy's got great talent for such a little dude, but his head's just not screwed on right. Not as bad as Marbury, but bad. I just get the feeling management thinks he's too much of a handful and more trouble than he's worth. Maybe I'm wrong but I'd say at this point, the only reason he'll be resigned is to be included in a S&T, not to actually continue playing for the Knicks.

Driving with a suspended Lic, arrested, dark tint for a celeb, are you kidding me. Wow that cop or cops should be proud to arrest scum of the earth like nate robbinson. The last thing the city needs is another punk driving around causing no trouble

I would put that cop or cops in plain cloths, gold shields, straight to homicide...good work boys. Its exactly what we need "Quality of Life" in these economic times, overtime well earned.

While I agree that he may not have been causing trouble, did you READ his list of citations, non-payments, and not showing up for court for relatively minor infractions??

Yeah lets crucify Nate for traffic violations with everything that goes on in sports. This is worse than were going to get our all star PG out of the second round of the 2010 draft picking 58th my man! Anyone who has lived in the city has been pinched for double parking at a minimum and most people forget to pay the tickets--oh well.

Papabear Says
Come on man you can get your license suspended for a parking ticket that may have fallen off his car.

Im going to pick him up for failing to pay a speeding ticket for $75 and use another $500 of the cities money to process him, from the hourly pay to the overtime.. Brilliant.

This happened to me once, pulled over driving with a suspended license. I knew I had tickets but didnt realize that it was past the 90 days so my license was suspended and i didnt get anything in the mail. Luckily the statey liked my car and didnt arrest me or impound my car. Instead he just gave me a ticket(had to goto court and take a driving course) and had his friend tow my car back to my house.

It's funny they said they ticketed him for failing to signal on a Manhattan street, and fined him $40. I mean, how many millions of times a day does a driver in the city do that? What will they do next? Give tickets to drivers for going through red lights? (which they are doing more and more, I notice.) Too funny.

I just read he had his license suspended 5 times--I didnt know that--- IF TRUE[and I dont know what is true here] that is honestly much worse than what was first reported. I thought he had some minor infractions--getting your license suspended 5 times should result in 60-90 days in the hole--then your are disregarding the law.
