Looks like kurt (the wild man)Rambis beat him out of the wolves head coaching job..I was really rooting for him.

I often wonder what kind of questions they ask you when your interviewing for a head coaching gig.

I like Mark Jackson....BUT...if he really wants to coach he should go somewhere and be an assistant for a season or two at least.

I think Jax is ready to be HC now. The man has a lot of talent and a good brain. I think the TW are making more stupid moves than a drunk guy dancing at a lame wedding.

How was Mark Jackson SHAFTED? The dude has absolutely no coaching experience, what exactly qualifies him to coach? The fact that he speaks a big game on telecasts?

Everyone was up in arms when the Knicks didn't hire him, well he's been passed over again, so obviously there is something that GMs aren't seeing in him.

the question goes like this- so, Kurt - tell us what you learned coaching with phil jackson and winning a championship?

Ah, Mark, same question, but what was your favorite snack at the concierge during abc telecasts?

Ewing is being shafted- did he even get called? what better coach to work with love and jefferson.

C mon there quite few head coaches that have zero experience but played in the league, I'm not sure phil was ever an assistant, Sam mitchell, and I'm sure there's been quite few in pass years

I'm sure he'll get his chance and it will probably be before Ewing. For some reason big man like kareem, ewing, hakeem, parish, they just don't seem like head coaching material. Maybe its the personalities, or demeanor, but I don't think any of them will ever become HC.

Correct. Jackson did coach in the CBA and was an assistant coach with the Bulls before being promoted to head coach.

Guys like the you mentioned have a few things in common. They were big, intimidating, stoic, and had very abrasive personalities. Ewing was is my all time favorite player. He will not make a HC. Kareem was by most accounts a nasty guy. Parish was the same.

They all were save for Hakeem. Hakeem was communicative, personable, funny, and a pretty good leader. His main problem is after all that time in the NBA the only guy who has a harder to understand accent is Mutumbo.

If Isiah was coach and GM, anybody can be.
Even Stephan Marbury. I believe he can be outstanding coach of any... crazy house league team.

I think some guys just get it. I think Mark Jackson is one of those guys. He has tremendous character, is a leader, understands the game, and can communicate and teach. I wish he was coaching the Knicks and I am pretty sure if he was the Knicks would have come out of the 08 draft with a cornerstone player for the franchise.

Jackson must be the Ramon Sessions of coaching candidates.

Yea? If Jackson was the coach we would have drafted a cornerstone player in 08? How? Why? Gallo hasn't even played a year yet.

Loved him as a player, but Based on how he talks in cliche filled baseless assertions I'd think he
to not be an ideal coach at all.

As someone who has a good amount of managerial experience with the age group of NBA players I'd say his approach might satisfy some fans who love pure tough love/boot camp "teach em a lesson!" style but has shown to b either innefective or have the opposite desired effect
on most.

Forum Po Po and #33 for a reason...

I think Mark JAckson should forget the NBA go and start thinking about coaching the lifeless St John's team.

Betcha he restores the pride and winning culture to the school's team.

The dude they have now is pathetic and needs to go.. Im not a St john's fan but bringing back an old face like Mark Jackson would be a good start. He would be able to get to the college kids in this day in age.

Gallo,s durability rating is like 30 out 100.

But I'm pushing for the kid. I think he's too much of a nice guy. I haven't since much emotion from him. MDA who appears to have a soft nice cushy funny personality off the court. Is animated emotional craze man on the side lines.

Not sure were gonna get the type of split personality From Mr Italian stallion.

I think players should be extensions of the coaches personality on the court. I think that's why riles and JVG were so successful. here.
