LOL, but this is a normal reaction after 10,000 - 15,000 posts (for a Knicks fan).

I've determined that being a Knicks fans evolves you faster as a human being because the losing eventually makes you just turn away and seek happiness elsewhere (inside oneself)

When you look at the list of players we've been considering what's the rush to sign any one of them?

Kidd, Hill - tested the waters, decided rather quickly they'd rather finish out their careers where they are.
Iverson - headcase we want nothing to do with.
JWill - this guy gets too much love. He ain't savin' nuttin', homeboy.
CJ Watson - also known as CJ Disaster by Warrior fans. Another backup project at best.
Sessions - possibly the BEST candidate but is he REALLY a starting PG for a future contending team? Does his lack of defense and an outside shot really make him that appealing just because he's quick and creative?

What's the rush to sign any of these guys? Let alone overpay and give them long term deals making it crucial to drop Jeffries at the very least this year.

I just don't understand the impatience but I think I'm responding to people who want Donnie to make some sort of a big splash THIS summer in a vain effort to make the playoffs and stick Utah with a 14th pick.

For what in the end? To ensure we're once again a 40-win mediocre EC team for years to come? Make sure we can't land a 2010 max free agent? Force us to then make more panic moves like then giving Joe Johnson 80% of the max and then having to run with

Darko
Hill
Gallo
Johnson
Sessions

for the next five years?

Can I get a big LOL?

It's not about 2009 just like it wasn't about 2008. It's about 2010. You guys still have rocks bouncing around in your head. Rocks implanted by Isiah's charming wit and child like smile.

These negoitations are strange. Usually, you will hear that a team has made a specific offer and the player is mulling it over. Or, the player has made a specific demand and the team is mulling it over. But I have seen few news reports of an specific offer made by the Knicks. Either they are better than everyone else at keeping a secret, or Walsh has not presented Sessions with a formal offer sheet. If the latter is the case, then Walsh is playing this one too close to the vest. Sessions is a solid prospect, who will at worst be an above-average backup pg, who can be traded to another team if it does not work out.

I can only guess the Knicks are exhausting trade possibilities because one thing is patience and another different thing is to drag a situation too long.

Five, apparently.

We already have backup caliber PGs in Duhon, Nate, and Douglas. Now we need Sessions and JWill who are also both backup caliber PGs. So the answer is five.

I guess Chandler will start at the point next year. I'm sure according to some he'll be a top 15PG if he starts.

Darko/Curry
Lee/Harrington/Hill/Jeffries
Gallo
Hughes/Almond
Chandler/Duhon/Nate/Douglas/Sessions/JWill

Seems balanced to me. What's the problem?

When did we sign Nate? Right now the only options we have at PG are Duhon and Douglas. Douglas is a rookie so its better not to have to rely on him to play heavy minutes at first, so you need more options. Duhon has only one year left and will probably be traded during the season, so that leaves the PG situation depleted. Sessions is a young pass first PG who could grow with the young core and leave at least a solid PG rotation for 2010. If you can get that young player with upside for the MLE, you have to try.

How many backup PGs does a team need? Well, if some want to see Sessions just like that, then consider that his contract should be small, back up like, so why criticize? The Knicks know they have to do their best to trade Curry and Jeffries, and if they do, they can still sign 2 FAs so the main plan won't be ruined.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.
