His best year so far was in 2006-7 where he averaged 19.5 ppg shooting @ 57% and 7 boards. So, for me, that's the measuring stick. What he also did was draw a lot of double teams.
The drawing double teams is key. Now he will have Gallo to throw it out to. Gallo is one of the better shooters around. Even when his back was bad he shot lights out. Also, there is Harrington and Nate to kick it out to. If Sessions is here then Curry is going to get a lot of points on peneration and dishing, remember Sessions can finish well. He just can't shoot well from the outside, and we will have to work around that problem. Considering we have some good shooters and a great penetrator IF Sessions is here, then Curry should be able to score 20 points a game (which really isn't much considering his abilities). I'm concerned with Curry's passing out of the block though, he was never very "natural" at it, more a mechanical process, which sucks.
It will also be nice to see Lee next to Curry, ok, the defense will absolutely suck, but they did play well together. Lee's IQ sort of compensates for Curry's lack of one, but defense on the inside will suck, hence I look forward to Darko seeing minutes as well as a bit from Hill.
I actually think Curry can flourish in this system. We first have to see how he does and if really might actually benefit us to have him here. If a guy like Lebron is here with someone like Curry to dump it off to and someone like Gallo on the wings that would just be sick. Still, we would preferably need some kind of defensive presence (Darko?) in the middle. We are going to have to weigh the + - with having Curry out there, and until he actually is, it's all speculation. But again, I'm looking forward to it considering that we have some capable shooters out there. (albeit some with little IQ - e.g. Nate and Harrington).
If Curry is back to his near all star (offensive) then we can definitely make the playoffs...
