The grizzlies renounced his qualifying offer. How about we sign him to part of mle for a year? He is a defensive dynamo and is a nifty shotblocker.

Well, if we lose Lee, Warrick would be a decent replacement. We need a defensive presence, and while I don't consider Warrick a defensive stallworth, he is better than any psuedo-PF we have on the team now. I, however, would not sign Warrick unless we lose Lee. We already have Darko and Hill to play PF and Gallo will likely get some minutes at PF too. If we keep Lee, Warrick would not have any place to play and he would only slow down the development of Gallo and Hill.

I guess the question is: Who would you rather have? Ramon Sessions or Hakim Warrick?

Warrick is a good fallback and cheaper alternative in case David Lee doesn't return. I always liked Warrick's game. Jeffries should be more like Warrick then nobody would complain about him.

I'd rather have sessions but if Lee falls through Warrick is a good fall back and he can slam dunk it good.

+1

I'd love it if we add Sessions. Warrick could be a nice fallback plan.

because he's so good and on the Knicks he would put up 15/8.3/3.9 on 47 fg% and run us into the play offs.

He averaged 15/8/4 as a starter last year. And that was his FIRST full season in the league.

Sessions: 17% from down town.

Is that a good fit for us? No, it's not, and it's not a fit for any guard.

In this offense any player who is on the perimeter and can't shoot from there is a liability. They're a Malik Rose or Jared Jeffries offensively.

What happens is the opponent knows they can't shoot and figures out which player to double team that they want to pass it to.

It ends in failure.

No thanks.

Sessions may be an 18% shooter from 3point land but his overall shooting number is 45% which is not too bad, and his 3-point shooting was only 4% of his total shots (6-34 for the total year while taking a total 775 shots). Does it mean he is a player who plays within his own game (for a young player that's pretty smart) or is it someone whose shot is so broken from distance that he just can't do it (Rajon Rondo anyone? numbers: 2007-08 reg season 3-points: 5-17 (29%), 2008-09 reg season 3-points: 15-48 (31%)).

Lots of similarities in Sessions and Rondo's shooting % numbers.

Warrick's shotblocking hasn't been very good. He's not the player he was at Cuse

I hope we get Sessions. I think Bucks going to match any offers for him even a full mle. I like Warrick and think he will be a sicko player who can help Knicks with all around type play.

Harrington, Lee, Gallo, Chandler, Hill, Jeffries.

Remind me again why Donnie should be interested in Hakim?

Some of those guys will be traded, but it's still 6 guys who play the 3/4.

"Does it mean he is a player who plays within his own game" Good point! Never thought of it like that. It is another plus for Sessions as a prof player. His lifetime (2 seasons - 96 games) from 3 pt is 22% but also he only takes .4 attempts/game from the 3 pt range. And probably many of them are at the buzzer to end the half or game, etc. So he does know his limitations.

His FG% is 44.4% - but many of his shots are driving to the basket. I think the league will wise up to him - they won't play him close and just wait for him to try to drive in for a lay up.

Still his lack of ability to shoot from beyond the arc which is a crucial part of the MDA offense will hurt our game. So unless we sign 2 other guards who can hit 40% from 3 pt, then I vote No to signing Sessions.

Chandlers a 2/3

Lee Hill and Jeffries are 4/5's to MDA and 2 of the 3 may not be Knicks come training camp

Gallo's health is still up in the air

Is Harrington a part of the future?
the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!
