The Indiana Pacers announced Wednesday that a resolution has been reached between the team and guard Jamaal Tinsley, and as a result the grievance arbitration scheduled for next week has been canceled.

Tinsley will be waived by the Pacers Wednesday, and if he clears waivers, he will become a free agent.

shooting was always suspect but he could handle the rock and had very good court vision.

should we bring him in for a workout?

I'm guessing he's done physically. Not exactly a good match for SSOL right?

We need guys with legs out there. I think that excludes him right away.

I think Tinsley deserves a workout but he shouldn't expect more than the veterans minimum or lower level exemption...even with a year of from the NBA he's better than Duhon...

Tinsley can run an offense and push the rock...I'd love to have the dude. If the Knicks can't get Miller, Sessions, or Bayless....they need to sign Tinsley...

In an effort to make the next cameo in Rush Hour 4, i'll add INSIGHT!

By quoting Confucius: "The cautious seldom err!" Exercise that level of thought and apply it to, Jamaal Tinsley an injury prone/ ex rucker park PG that has a history of woes both on and off the basketball court. As a NYK Fan, and given The new NYK regime.. You know, the idea of creating a POSITIVE CULTURE??? i'd Pass. The point guard is an extension of the coach.. Tinsley has marginal talent no doubt, but loves the "nightlife" ie Chris Duhon; We've gone the route of bringing in a Me-First Brooklyn PG before, it was a failed experiment-- It is my opinion that this is exactly the type of guy that WE SHOULD NOT ask to lead this team; He'd almost assuredly be a negative influence-- AGAIN MY OPINION, based on Tinsley's track record!

Tinsley has been out of basketball action for almost a year and a half. Tinsley was one of the players that was told to stay along with Walker and Marbury. The difference is Marbury at least played last year. With Tinsley you don't know what to expect. To get Tinsley right now would be getting a project. You don't know what to expect from him even if he has a workout. Donnie Walsh does like Tinsley so who knows they might bring him in and put him on the preseason roster if they do not get a starting point guard this offseason.
