Should not expect the playoffs.

They should expect something like last year.

We have two bad contracts to showcase and move.

We have young kids to allocate playing time to.

Forget the lotto pick we owe Utah and try to enjoy watching the kids play.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

We must be the world's most patient fans because after all those short-comings we still believe that the GM has done a good job.

What short-comings exactly? Trading Zach Randolph?
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I'm not sure about that. Let's see how both adjust to Carter being dealt, since he was the focal point of the offense.

the bottom three spots have to be up for grabs. atlanta just added craw so their chance at the playoffs are dramatically decreased. philly is going to lose miller who was very important to them. i think that franchise is just confused in general. the brand move, so far, has backfired. washington also needs the planets to align to make it. they added two solid vets and get a healthy arenas back, but still -- they have to do it on the court. and gil has to stay healthy.

the realist in me says we just miss the playoffs. it's gonna be a tight race for those bottom three spots though.

Surely you jest the Knicks are a losing team and might even be worse this season and after going through all the trouble of being one of the worst teams the Knicks don't even get a lotto pick. So maybe short-comings was a bad choice of words because this down right cruel.

is it walsh's fault that the 2010 lotto pick was dealt 6 years ago? is he supposed to alter his rebuilding plan to make the fact that some idiot traded our lotto pick 6 years look better?

The fact that they are losing team and will be is already understood. So how exactly does that fall on Walsh as you have already stated? One year is enough time to turn it around?
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Maybe we should start signing our GMs and Coaches to 1/2 year deals. Thats all the time they really need.

the fact we don't get a lotto pick is Isiah's fault... Donnie's been here 1 year trying to clean up the mess Isiah left behind... jettisoning Zach was a big step towards that end... how exactly is this a failure on the part of the current regime?

Nope, too much time. Daily deals if you ask me. If you can't turn it around in a day, what are you doing?

daily contracts make a ton of sense considering that's about as much time our prospects are afforded to prove themselves in this league.

No, I was talking about the coach, GM and veterans. They get daily deals. The rookies deal lasts from the moment the commissioner calls their name until the moment the first boo is picked up on ESPN's microphone.

Here's the thing folks. Should I say it..? Don't want to hurt any feelings... OK I guess I'll say it...

CURRENT WALSH PLAN:
probably 2011 until we can be excited to watch the Knicks with any expectations (ie we're not getting LeDunkedOn)

FIRE HYDRANT PLAN: If we had kept the crew that started the 2008/09 season... would have been 2011 until we were able to seriously contend, but we would have been a first round playoff team instead of this crap.

So basically, and this is what I've been saying the whole time, we could have hired the fire hydrant down the block, your dog, the local pizza guy, a blade of grass, any inanimate object ("I love lamp") and we would be in the same situation.

--------
Having Walsh captain the ship has gotten us D'Antoni and nothing else. If you want to say that tanking got us Hill... well that's friggin' awesome. I'm not in panic mode about the guy, but he is what he is and a lot of the higher upside guys who were picked later in the round would have been just as good at the very least.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

So you are upset because we didn't keep Zach and Craw and Marbs and Jerome and Q etc. This is where you have a problem with Donnie's plan?>

LMAO @ going to the playoffs with the team we had. Now I know exactly where you stand and where you stood on all of Isiah's roster moves. Thanks for the heads up.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.
