Sessions is in the same boat as Lee....Bucks have Ridinour (who skies actually prefered to Sessions early on in the season)...and this kid Jennings who is killing in summer league.

They traded away RJ and let charlie go for nothing....Redd is coming off acl surgery....aside that they have Bogut who was hurt all last year and 2 second year guys @ fwd (can't think of their names right now)

Anyway...with Ridinour and Jennings do these guys really need to pay for a point guard when they are already in the hole from day 1? Jennings right now looks like he will eventually light up the NBA. Ridinour is servicable.

Here's hoping the Knicks can get some luck this off season....to say Sessions is an upgrade is a gross understatement.

Well, word is were looking at Sessions in a variety of ways - S&T... MLE, for Duhon straight up (I guess more a fan thought with that one), etc.

I'm a big Sessions fan also...I love the dude cuz he doesn't waste movements...he's not out there over dribbling....he understands who his teamates are and where they are on the court...his passes are always right where guys can do something with it. He's always intense and focused. He understands tempo...sheesh dude the guy is just an awesome point guard...In D'antoni's system he would errupt.

Check the irony of this mix....In the begining they show a still pic of Sessions driving on Duhon....and the vid ends with a still pick of him driving on Nash....

Anyway this vid totally shows what Session brings. Listen to the comentary also...Sessions is our guy dudes...Donnie has to get him some how...

I just wanna add that they have Meeks, Charlie Bell, and Salim Stoudamire along with Jennings and Ridinour...

they also wouldn't need a sign and trade to pick up a forward cuz they have alexander, elson, Amir johnson, malik allen, moute, and kurt thomas....

The Bucks are kinda set...they don't need to pay for Sessions to stick around...they have cheaper replacements...I mean if they were to pay Sessions the full mid-level, they would make Sessions #3 highest salary on the team under Redd and Bogut. Makes no sense especially with the names i mentioned above.

basketball gods....cut us a break please!!!

The Ramon Sessions - Dan Dantoni link

Sessions' only problem is his shot - which is an important consideration with this offense. But he is an excellent passer.

Sessions would be a solid pickup. A deal of Duhon and $3 mill in cash for Sessions on a 4yr/$25 million deal would be ideal. Even if we had to give him a 5yr/$34 mill deal, I think he is worth it. He is a starting caliber pg and his shot can improve with work.

If the Bucks did use part of their mid-level exception or all of it, they would still likely have enough money remaining to match an offer made to restricted free-agent point guard Ramon Sessions, who'll probably command a starting salary between $4-6 million.

Several teams are expected to court Sessions, one being the New York Knicks. The Knicks attempted to acquire Sessions last summer but their overtures were rebuffed by Bucks general manager John Hammond.

Sessions, regarded as one of the more talented young guards in the league, has a great rapport with Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni and his brother Dan, who is a Knicks assistant coach.

Acceptable midrange shot at this point, which should get better when he is playing 30+MPG. Can't expect much from the 3.

Another factor is his age- he turned 23 in April.

What would the Bucks want/take from us, though?

Who do we have to offer? Harrington? Lee??

Bucks seem to be in good shape at the guard positions, but they will get little scoring from their forward position. Jefferson and Villanueva, their 2 top front court scorers, are gone. I would not count on Joe Alexander to raise his game that much this year, and Mbah a Moute is more of a defensive specialist.

I'm sure Sessions would love to come to the Knicks, and realizes that Jennings coming to the team means that he is not in their long term plans. You don't draft a PG at #10 if you have a very young, and seemingly on the rise, PG already on your team and expect to keep both of them. Sessions fate with the Bucks was determined when they took Jennings- at least that is what you would think.

I think it would be a coup for the Knicks to get Sessions. This is the kind of acquisition that I know Knick fans have been looking for. The guy is 23 and is good at every facet of the game except long range shooting. IMHO he has star type qualities. He's big strong and smart. I was shaking my head a little at Kidd and Hill but Sessions makes a TON of sense and would make the offseason palatable. If you are talking about building a big three--I think Sessions can be one of those guys and if you can pull that off you have done a great job.

Old fart can get you garbage but he can never get the guy he needs and wants. He is the king of creating cap space though.
