As per knicks coaching staff, Jordan Hill came into summer league way outta shape and needs to get in gear.

WTH? Why do we always get such lame players?

Definitely not a good thing. But let's just hope it's a case of a young guy celebrating getting drafted or working out but not really understanding how hard he needs to work out at that level. IF he comes to camp out of shape I will personally go down there and flog him myself
I just hope that people will like me

Hill hadn't played in 4 months. He's not Eddy Curry. By shape they mean game shape and adding some more muscle in due time.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

He should have been in better game shape. 3 days of practice isn't enough and actually probably made him too tired to play in the games. What is he thinking? And what are the Knicks management thinking. They should have been on top of this. You can't expect every college kid to know what he needs to do. You just invested millions of dollars in this kid. Some guidance is needed. Wake up!

WTF, more like it. Why the hell is a top 10 pick not in NBA shape?

Not again, Donnie!

calm down everyone. the guy's a killer athlete, as displayed in his combine results and in the year he had. don't worry about his being in game shape. at his age it probably take shim 5 days to regain it.

Well, he has now had your 5 days - 3 days of practice and 2 games. Lets see what he does in the next game.

Hardly something to get worked on at this point. Many draft prospects are having the same problem. He'll be fine. He isn't Eddie.

You guys are seriously blowing your load for nothing.

I dunno bout you guys....it sounds extreamly gay to say "hit the gym and gain 20lbs of muscle"...how old are we?

Like Marv said....5 days...or at least by the end of summer league. Jordan Hill is gonna be where we all need him to be. He gets a pass because its his first summer league. Besides....did you watch the summer league games??? When they are talking about shape...they are just talking about his legs. He has noodle legs right now. Everyone gets that after a little lay-off from playing full-court. Not a big deal at all. He's been competing pretty good. What will he look like when his legs are underneath him??? Just wait guys...he's gonna be really good.

Both Hill and Douglas show skill but they both seem like they need to get there strength and conditioning up.

Hill probably struggles early in the yr and comes on strong late in the yr. Douglas probably has a inconsistent yr with streaks of greatness and bad play.

They have a lot of work to do, but the talent and potential is visible.

Douglas looks like nate out there, without making the shots. We undervalue Nate here.

Hill needs to get stronger, without adding bulk. Quickness is a big part of his game. Douglas looks like he is in good shape, but his shot isn't falling. He'll start hitting those shots. I was surprised at how well he ran the offense.

I think douglas's problem is that he is so focused on showing he can play pg, that he is not mentally preparing himself to score. 21 assists in two games with 2 turnovers is unheard of for a rookie. It shows that he is a smart player. I think he will be fine. Hill on the otherhand has a long way to go. He lacks strength. His jumper is inconsistent and he lacks post moves. Hill needs to put in a lot of work to get his game to the next level and the fact that he did not come into summer league in shape is not a good sign. Hopefully, he puts in the work between now and training camp to improve his game.
