I'd hate to see Knicks go, the Knicks will have no personality without him.

An experiment, if you will, to see what the knicks are without N-Rob.

He might earn even more cash with endorsements, one thing about Nate he knows how to sell himself as a brand.

he was top 10 in NBA jersey sales -- you think greece has more potential?

Wrong. They will have a personality without him-- a better one.

Nate has personality, yes, but it is a weird one that isn't conducive to winning. And because of the void in leadership, his personality was allowed to fester and dominate the entire team.

So no, they won't have NATE'S PERSONALITY, but they WILL have A personality-- and this is a good thing.

toney douglass also seems like a big + in the intangibles department. i follow BC so they played against FSU a few times a year and douglass always seemed like a leader in college and positive for the team. replacing nate, a me-first prima donna, with douglass, a defense-first leader, is a net gain, even if there's a decrease in athleticism/possibly overall skill

10mm tax free--Nate soulvaki's are pretty good --I wouldnt turn that money down. Thats roughly the equivilant of a three year full MLE net. I mean unless Nate does not want to leave the US it's a no brainer--what is two half years anyway??? Thats a lot of $$

while Walsh was asleep...
As Walsh tries to fortify his backcourt, he continues to keep an eye on Nate Robinson, the restricted free agent. He was surprised to hear of news reports that the Greek team Olympiakos, which signed the Atlanta Hawks’ Josh Childress, might make a run at Robinson.

“I didn’t see it,” Walsh said. “I don’t read the Greek papers. Nobody has told me that.”

lol

I'd do it too... I'd have no problem hitting up the Isles, eating moussaka and baklava, and chasing tanned, toned girls around

How many GMs do you think do read the Greek papers? What would you expect Walsh to do here? We'd probably have to pay him about $8 mil annually to equal what he's getting tax-free in Greece.

I don't believe that you can make money tax free. You either have to pay taxes in Greece or in the US. Uncle Sam doesn't let people get away with not paying taxes. This is a myth.

Wrong - it may not be a good thing if they are boring and pedestrian team. We will just have to wait to find out.

I don't know if it is the same in basketball, but in football sometimes clubs offer to pay the tax for the player and that is how it works out to be "tax free". That we he knows exactly what he is getting when he signs the contract.
