We are putting everything on 2010 and LBJ and we can forget this season. During the season I go to 10 to 12 games. I wonder should I hold back from going to games this year and wait till LBJ gets here in 2010?

I think that they should have 4 years to let their plan work. Just like our economy--it didnt take 3 months to wreck and it won't be 3 months to fix it.

It seems as though no one is good enough for the Knicks except Kobe, LBJ, or a combination of two multi all-star players. But I think most people here will tell you it's not about LBJ it's about clearing cap and creating flexibility so when your watching the Knicks get blown out by the Bobcats remember their cap space is now more flexible!

I wouldn't expect the Knicks to be winning Championship but doesn't the management owe it to the fans to put a better product on the floor then what we saw under Isiah Thomas?

The only people who are putting this "all or nothing" into LeBron are the fans like yourself. LeBron is obviously the jewel of 2010 but he's not the only guy available and the flexibility of being under the salary cap is the much more important thing.

People should know that Cleveland can offer more money to LeBron than the Knicks. I don't care what advertising dollars that LeBron can get in NY. I do know that one knee injury and he will be the next Penny Hardaway, with that said its safer to take the Cavs offer and get more money guaranteed.

I'm not holding my breath for LeBron if he wants to come here fine but the Knicks have to make plans for anyone that wants to come here via free agency. It shouldn't all be geared for LeBron or Wade becuase there is 95% chance they stay where they are. Learn from the Jason Kidd jerk around. The players and agents will use anything to get their price tag upped if that means using the family card then so be it.

My guess is that the big part of the plan is to purge the team of anything Isiah and rebuild it. They still have made brutal blunders already though --no matter what anyone says--Gallinari IS NOT going to be better than Randolph or Lopez and they shouldve went for the 5th pick this year. A little cahones and they wouldve had their choice of Rubio or Curry. Im sorry but no risk no reward in this life we live. Either you take calculated chances or you don't. We didnt and while we mightve still drafted a solid guy I dont think there is any doubt that they would trade them for the PG's. That being said it's only been a year and we''lll know a lot more next year around this time of what is what.

As a caveat--in past years I thought losing would help the Knicks[get higher picks get rid of IT etc..] I expect that they TRY very hard to WIN. I expect playoffs this year

I don't think they will be fired but I think there is an understanding that Walsh's contract will not be renewed. I get no sense that Dolan feels obligated to Donnie in no way.

Look I reached the 60 year old plus mark. Four years to you might not mean anything but 4 years to me makes a whole hell of a lot of difference. I've been waiting for another championship for over 35 years. New York the Mecca of Basketball should have a good team on the floor at all times.

It's not D'Antoni's job to sign FAs. He shouldn't even be included in the question IMO.

I think the owner has put similar stock into it and that's is the only person whose opinion really matters. Dolan doesn't care about cap flexibility but selling out his arena.

If it's just fans who believe in this all or nothing mentality then why hasn't management done of a better job of bringing in new talent? We all realize that there are restraints but it doesn't seem as though Walsh has made one single move that has improved our talent. David Lee is far and away our best player and Walsh seems to be setting up replacements in case Lee gets too expensive. Is there one move that Walsh has made since being here that would indicate that he's doing something other then clearing cap space?

Sorry Newyork4ever if you read my past posts I always said that we were never gonna get LBJ and I do beleive that he will stay in Cleveland. Why should he leave. Cleveland is his best chance to get a ring unless he signs with the Lakers.

Walsh and D'Antoni should be fired right now. They've totally wasted all the work Isiah did to bring this team back from the depths of the Layden era.

Isiah had put in place a solid core of players: Stephon Marbury, Eddy Curry, Zach Randolph. All Walsh and D'Antoni had to do was make a tweak here and there and viola: Instant Championship. Instead, what did they do? Gave away their most valuable assets for little or no return.

I repeat, they should be fired now for their incompetence in not following through with The Plan. I think it was all just vindictive because of their irrational hatred of Zeke & Marbs.

Of course not. What if Gallo or one of the other young players turns out to be great and it turns out we can with some moves for players who fit?
