If this turns out to be true then I am going to be angry!!!

We could have cashed in on this guy at the deadline like woah. This would be the first blunder of the DW era.

Take this to the bank and lock it in. If we lose David Lee and get nothing back we will win 25 games next year--bank it. David Lee is being undervalued by his own team. Hell we shouldve traded Lee for draft picks and won 10 games last year if that was the case--what kind of plan is this? Spend 4mm on a 6-1 combo guard who cant jump and hasnt played a minute of NBA basketball and low ball D Lee.

Im glad they are going for cap space and hey maybe they have a hidden deal with Lebron James[or better yet if they dont we will see atleast 5 more years of suffering.

We won 23 games twice with him so that's not saying much.

guys relax, relax, relax. It was coming based on the Knicks 2010 plans.

Hey we lost 50 games with him, we might've lose 50 games without him..

If we lose lee, we'll be able to grab some good players with short term contracts. Ex. expiring next yr..

His stupid agent wants his client to be paid rather than have him sign the qualifying offer and see what happens when he becomes a free-agent again.

Correction, we won 23 games with Isiah. I don't think Jordan himself could have won more than 40 with IT running the show.

it's funny - knicks fans keep talking about rebuilding and drafting players. you finally get a player you drafted that puts up a double double and many of you can't wait to get rid of him b/c of this mythical unicorn promised in 2010. it's hypocrisy.

absolutely boneheaded handling of D Lee's situation if this comes to pass.

What good is his double doouble when he doesn't play any Defense. Far as I'm concerned Jordan Hill probably get close to a double double this coming year and he may give better defensive effort.

David Lee sets a mean pick, too. All we needed was to pair D. Lee with a shot blocker and his perceived lack of D would have subsided; and now that we have that shot swatter in Darko, we lose Lee. It's cruel.

i understand being upset a guy doesn't play defense...but that doesn't mean the guy is a bad player. it's like if the player is not perfect, he's not wanted. at what point do knicks fans actually LIKE their players and want them to stay?

Exactly.

Losing Lee for nothing would not be ideal. We need to get some value back for him. Let's hope other teams show interest that are winners and he has no interest in signing with losers with cap space. That's our only hope. If a good team like Denver or Portland gets seriously interested, I know he would jump at the chance to join him and we could snatch someone like a Kleiza or Outlaw from them.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Hey, I already liked Lee and I even like Duhon for being so tough and getting through the year with injuries. New York fans don't seem to appreciate nothin'.

You can't do that not with Eddy Blob on the team. The goal is 2010 stick to the plan. Next year is going to be all about getting Curry's output increased to draw other teams. Lee is a nice player but got to stick to the plan and that is 2010.

jump at the chance to get kleiza and outlaw and then do what...b/c you have to re-sign them, they are restricted free agents and all knicks fans don't want anybody until santa comes to town in 2010.

Papabear Says

The Knicks fans don't know what they want. They want to throw David Lee under the bus. Like I said before we ain't getting Lebron James and I really doubt that we get any of the 2010 superstars to come to New York. We should have continnued to help Lee grow. Remember he was home grown.
