Channing doesn't belong in the NBA...he's a puss. His jumpshot was pure but the mofo totally is a ratard in every othe aspect of the game. Did I mention he is a *****? I'm so embarrassed that I rooted for this kid and was on that bandwagon that actually compared him to real basketball players. F his life.

Its funny because after his rookie season I was convinced that he was going to be a star.. Remember when he dropped like 35 on Bogut? How he used to try to bang it on players like Mourning and Duncan? Ive never seen a player regress like he did

I wouldn't mind having Frye - but the thing I never liked about him when we drafted him won't change: His name Channing.

Sorry, Channing Frye doesn't sound like the name of an NBA player.

Now - all that out of the way, Frye could fit since he has such a nice outside shot and play a role similar to what Donyell Marshall has in his later career - a three point threat big man. Its very easy, especially in MDA's system, to get a big a wide open look from three.

Frye shot 11 of 33 from there last year. If you brought him in and told him - your role is simple - shoot & make threes, I think he could get over 40% eventually.

I'd offer him something like 3 years 10MM with the third year a team option.

But that's only if other better options (Kidd, etc) don't materialize.

wow. i'm a world apart from you on this. i would hate to see us spend that money on him. if we want bigs shooting 3's, we should be finding gallinari for them. he was open continuously from there last season and knick guards looked away from him a lot.

Frye has fallen apart so badly that he's only worth a partially guaranteed 1 year minimum contract.

To be honest I'd consider taking a flier on him.

I'd like to get him back on the Knicks. I saw a game forget who the Blazers were playing but Frye was brining it. I still think in the right system he does well sort of like Darko.

he definitely had some nice moments in his rookie season & played a lot more aggressively than he did after that season... i dunno wtf happened to this kid... almost like he had his balls stripped from him or something... seeing him cowering at the feet of Carmelo during that scuffle between Nate & JR Smith was pretty pathetic.

I think someone else mentioned this... but when you have Hill, Harrington, JJ, Gallo and Lee, why do you even think about Frye?

Gallo can take those outside shots Frye was taking and make them at a better clip.

Frye is a bum. Especially now that he has no jumpshot. Frye can't rebound, play defense, and his jumpshot is now broken. If he was on this team all he would be doing is taking up minutes for someone else. All that trash Frye was talking when he got traded to the Blazers is another reason the Knicks should not entertain the thoughts of Frye on this team. I don't even think Frye can get burn in West 4th the Cage. lol
