The funny thing is they both only know loosing, but are they the real reason. Its easy to say package them both, but it's clear either one can become a bonifide all star. I'm stuck, we could keep them as assets in a S N T for the 2k10 FA class. What's our worst case senerio.

neither. they are both too small and defensively limited to be key parts of winning teams. both are bench guys on really good teams.

Couldn't agree more. If Walsh had no intention of paying them he should have moved him at the deadline. I guess he took his mid day nap and missed the deadline.

Neither is a "must keep". Nate is the one who the Knicks should try harder to keep, but again, only at a reasonable price. Lee I would only keep for very good price at this point.

Don't forget that Nate is a pretty special talent, much rarer in the league, while Lee is solid, good, but not extraordinary or special. Lee is replaceable, but most of all, we don't need a player like him right now, unless he is balls-ass cheap.

Nate is the keeper. Lee is a stat whore who has too many liabilities.
Agreed. Glad you saw the light!

I agree with this assessment. Between the two I would rather have Nate, but neither is a must keep
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

I agree that neither are a must keep, but it would be a real good thing to keep Lee. I still think he can improve his defense, at least in terms of man to man and on the help. He'll never be a shotblocker though.

I say Nate. He will be cheaper plus has a role on the team as a sixth man. Lee is not a starter on a playoff team.

Lee was your best player last year and they improved 9 games with him starting. Nate will be easy to keep no one will offer him anything

I think DLee is going to be easier to Sign and Trade and then replace than Nate. Nate has some value and hopefully gets signed for $6-$7 million a year. If not then bye bye.

Nate will get 3 or 4 million I bet he plays for the qualifying offer. He is by far the worst defensive on the Knicks team.

If where trying to become a complete team trading those two to aquire anything other then a sure star player like Roy, Ra Lewis, ect is pointless. You guys point out there flaws like were in search of the perfect player, which only kobe and LB come close to that. I'm not sure what your going to get for them if your involving a bloated contract in the deal.Back when we had Ewing in his prime it was easier to convince star players like LJ and allan to sign,I don't think MDA alone is enough incentive to bring in top notch player.

Neither Lee or Nate is a must keep.

... for Donnie Walsh they are both a "must get value for"

The Mayor is another matter. He is a MUST keep. But that is another thread to be started sometime in mid November after he drops 30 points and 12 rebounds in a game.
once a knick always a knick
Bottom line Lee or nate who's the must keep btwn them
