okay, i haven't even seen the entire video...

so i'll recheck myself if i'm wrong in the end...

but of what i have watched thus far up to the point where he even explains why he came in when he did for the draft...

i nominate this thread for the award of one that most white people clearly won't get because of our usual ignorance of the difference between talking to one's "peoples" and when speaking in a stereotypical white culturally dominant situation.

kt22, you even start the comments with basically misinformation.

jennings was not "late." he even explains it, as did andy katz at the draft. jennings was there, but left to the hotel across the street after getting word that he was not sure to be drafted until LATE, hence why he came when he did. it was basically because flynn, who the bucks had as their top choice, was taken by the t-wolves, and other things that led him to be picked.

is that something to question someone's "character" about.

sure, but i do find it interesting that jennings, who exudes the most "young black male" persona in the draft is given the most comments about his character, when we can see from the past year, and through other interviews, he is bright, and can do what is asked of coaches.

he has an ego...wow...like no super-duper athletes do. jordan was a SNAKE and interviews with many celebrities make you wonder about narcissist issues, but many can still perform well and succeed.

he believes he is the pg for the bucks...and this is bad? you need confidence, but he has also shown an ability to adapt to situations where he wasn't "the man." we always ask players and workers to give themselves for a job, team or organization, but guess what...that same expectation is RARELY IF EVER held upon the organization.

a player works hard to be a "good team player" or a worker works hard in a factory to do the same ish, but then the job has "passed them by" we say "thank god they're gone!" (see Q-Rich). So, if a player cares about himself that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Most people do such work to get some kind of gratification. pro-sports is a highly individual focused job, so it requires and needs many who feel this way.

also, my question is does he even know joe budden is recording this? on the other hand, joe budden is challenging jennings about being humble, but jennings is smart enough to ask budden the same thing...that was slick...notice how budden shuts up real fast.

jennings is a smart kid to me. could he use some work, sure, but i think we need to check our own biases before going out and saying he has an attitude problem. how jennings is going to speak to a rapper versus how he will speak to fans, coaches and team mates are just not the same thing.

yo, the worst thing i heard at all was he said "i was best dressed."

in fact even in the 2nd clip when budden asks if jennings thinks he will start, jennings says he doesn't know.

then budden says, "i hear scott skiles is an ***hole," but jennings doesn't agree, and says he feels that skiles must like him (he sounded happy about that).

then on the knicks, he says "f**k them" lol.

maybe because he wanted to be picked by us, but wasn't.

i kind of like it,and i'm obviously a huge knicks fan. guess what, he's honest...

he says, "duhon ain't gonna get it done."

sounds familiar...

again...what exactly does he say here that makes you folks go crazy?

I don't have anything bad to say abotu what I heard....at the same time....Brandon Jennings needs to cut off Joe Buddens from his circle of friends...did he know he was being recorded? I don't think so...thats what is ****ed up about this situation. What if Joe Buddens had some incriminating things to say and Brandon agreed or was down with it?
