I was just listening to ESPN radio....I kinda dismissed it, but felt I should say something here...

He talked about going in last season with Shaq...basically said the Pheonix is done and will rebuild...he sounded like a guy that just got raped by an ex-wife in court.

If he is trading Amare...Nash is gonna be gone as well...the way he was talking I can't see it any other way....

Just pathetic coming from a dude that was talking so much smack on the air, and on Yahoo.com about our Knicks. He was very arrogant when he first got the Pheonix gig. He ruffled feathers and got D'antoni pushed out for no good reason....I gues this is what he gets for being a douche....

Now since he is a douche, I can't see the dude trading Nash to the Knicks....he already gave the D'antoni to us...he's not gonna want to be responsible for reuniting the best point guard in the world to run a D'antoni coached team....

Anyway....Steve Nash loves NYC...he was in the city 2 days ago for an event in chinatown....he needs to be here full-time.

I don't see it anywhere...someone will confirm it later...

I'm toying with trades...Depending on what Pheonix is trying to do...Knicks need a point guard and a shooting guard right now and thats it...Nash and Barbosa for al and cuttino??? its a lateral trade...they could just let the youth they have fill in those spots and use Al's offense at the 3 to fill in for Hill and Barnes leaving. With the insured Cuttino contract they stand to benifit right away cap wise....

The Suns have a team option on Nash for next season.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I wonder what they are gonna do? If they are strapped for cash then dump him....that would open up the door for Nash to sign in NY where he belongs.

What was interesting to me about Kerr is that he always seemed like a level-headed, competent writer/analyst, but as soon as he became GM he started making really curious moves. He stinks.

They had a VERY good core a few years ago. And one year from now, they will probably have absolutely nothing to show for it--no one left from the core and no good players that they got in return from trading those core players. What a mess indeed!

To be fair - I actually think you can appreciate what Kerr is doing.

He tried to make a few moves designed to sustain them/get them to the next level.

But unlike Isiah & Dolan, they've realized that bet didn't pay off, and rather than continue along that course and keep pouring more on the fire, they've going a different direction.

I bet they keep Nash to try to tutor Curry.

Kerr took over a team that went to game 6 of the WCF. They regress dramatically within those two years to a point they were a lottery team at the end of the 2nd year. How in the world did he make moves to sustain them or get them to the next level. He said he wanted to add defense but his team didn't improve defensively, wanted a half court system. He feuded with the coach over the issue, fired/let the coach walk, added a defensive coach and players. Within one year, he fired the defensive coach and went back to an run and gun offensive team and fail. Pouring more fire? Dude brought in a hell storm to the situation and is running around the place in state of panic. This potential trade sums up that fact.

Sounds like the Warriors pulled out of the trade because they want to keep Curry - whom PHX was under the impression was drafted for them and would go to them in the Amare deal. Oops.

Nash's salary for 2009 - 2010
Team option for $13,125,000
I think I read somewhere that about half of that is guaranteed so if they let him go, he could sign with a mid-level exception and make about what his present salary is. Love to have him come to NY.

This year of Nash's salary isn't guaranteed either.... I'm not saying that they will terminate Nash's contract (because that would be a major eff you to the fans) but if they trade him they're going to demand young assets, not make it a salary dump, which means I have no interest in pursuing him unless they decline the option

Nash's salary for 2009 - 2010 is his 6th and final year on the 6 year contract.
TRANSACTIONS
07/14/04: Steve Nash (PHX) signed a 6 year, $65.6 million contract. The 6th year is only partially guaranteed.

Isnt Nash like 35y/o? Sorry but I'll pass.

Suns werent going to win with just like the Knicks aren't going to win with They are going to be fun to watch but their not going to win anything (unless Bron comes over).

If I remember correctly, Amare was complaining about playing Center. I think that was the reason behind brining in Shaq, so they can move Amare to the 4. Shiit didn't work like they planned and Kerr will be fired by the end of the season

I like the idea of having Nash on the team as tutor for a young PG who we expect to lead us for the next 10 years, but we don't have that young PG, yet.

Nash working with Rubio or Curry would be the perfect situation, but we don't have either of them, and although I like T. Douglas, he is probably not going to be our PG of the future.
