Twenty-one NBA teams, including the 2009 NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers, will compete in this year's NBA Summer League presented by EA SPORTS in a 55-game schedule that was announced today. A team of NBA Development League Select players will also participate in the action taking place at the Thomas & Mack Center and the COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas July 10-19.

Tuesday July 14 3 PM New York vs. Memphis Cox Pavillion

Wednesday July 15 1 PM New York vs. Detroit

Friday July 17 3 PM New York vs. Sacramento

Saturday July 18 3 PM New York vs Chicago

Sunday July 19 1 PM Washington vs. New York

I still don't get why Walsh doesn't look to go after players who could have been drafted and weren't. How do we keep missing out on the guys like Jerel McNeal, Dominic James, etc, etc. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Well yeah, but I mean, why aren't we getting to these guys first? There was a few guys last year I think we missed the boat on too. Is it a big deal? In the end, I doubt it, but it would be nice to see us go after some of the guys every now and then.

Guys and their agents sometimes look at teams and the realistic chances of making a roster and amount of playing time they look to get in SL. So if a team knows you draft a center with your lottery pick it is highly unlikely their agent will steer them to your SL roster. The same with the NFL and their undrafted free agents.

There are no restrictions on summer league rosters. The NBA CBA does not cover summer league that's why you can invite anyone you want to your summer league roster.
