from draftexpress...
-A complicated three-way trade involving New Jersey, Minnesota and Memphis, which would send Devin Harris to Minnesota, the #5 and #6 picks to Memphis and Ricky Rubio and Craig Smith to New Jersey.

That would be the best that could happen to us. Then, trading to get the 5 pick with Memphis seems that much more possible. We might be able to get the 5 or 6 spot much easier than the 2. I would like to walk out of this draft with another top 10 pick. Memphis seems like the easiest to deal with.
You know I gonna spin wit it

Agreed, but if he doesn't pan out that market disappears. Thats a risk

I highly doubt Rubio becomes better than Harris.

Yeah, I'm surprised the Nets are doing this when they already have Harris.

It's true, Harris is young and excellent. This would be a risky move basketball wise. Business wise it makes sense. Of course if Rubio turned out to be as good as his best projections, it would become a genius move all around in retrospect.

Because Walsh has a player close to Devin Harris' level...
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I dont get it, everyone is complaining this draft sucks and then whine about missing out on players in it?

I think the draft hype has everyone's head spinning - and the worst part about it is these players aren't that great.

And exactly who are you proposing that Walsh would trade to T-Wolves that would equate to Devin Harris?

I don't like that deal for Minny - and not sure I like it for NJ or Memphis either.

Is it possible -- a 3 way deal where everyone loses.

- Minny loses (2) very high picks for 1 very good point guard
- Memphis loses out on Thabeet then has to draft 2 other guys that won't want to go there either & they do nothing about their youth problem
- NJ trades their best young player for a kid that is 18 and un-proven

If Memphis does stock-pile picks it could help us in a D-Lee sign and trade with them.

I don't understand this trade business wise either, maybe I'm missing something. Doesn't winning outweigh ticket sales in the NY/NJ metro area ?

I'm not saying they can't win with Rubio. Bust Harris is pretty damn talented.
