They've also engaged in advanced discussions with the Knicks that should put former No. 2 overall pick Darko Milicic in New York by week's end ... unless Memphis winds up needing Milicic's expiring contract in another draft-related trade.

Sources say that the proposed swap would send Milicic to the Knicks for swingman Quentin Richardson and cash.

Probably like Wilcox. He may get his chance, especially since he would be our C, but if he doesn't pan out, he simply expires.

I think he'd get run.. if he's a fit anywhere, it's in this offense. As much as Darko gets ragged on, he's a good rebounder and shotblocker, both things we could use. If MikeD can get 13ppg out of him this is a steal and a half.

anything that gets rid of Q and his endless supply 30 foot bricks I'm all for...actually it would be nice to have a help defender who can block some shots and rebound. I think the last shot we blocked was by Camby in the 2000 playoffs

this deal is insanely dumb by the grizz.

i am sure they can do better, and the word from chad ford is the grizz gm, because of the gasol deal, is so desperate to prove he can do well that even after you agree with him on principle to a deal, it is automatic that he will come back and say he wants more.

what is he getting here?

is this also with the 8th pick?

my guess is they are gonna want ill will too, at least.

Not sure I agree with that. Seems like we are trading $9m and pick #8 for pick #2. We bought 28 for 3M. Mobley will save them $6M in insured salary. And we turn a non-functioning player into an able body (if nothing else). I dunno, do you think Mem would do the deal for the #8 and Mobley (and not include the #28?)

As an aside, would you trade Chandler and Mobley for Darko and the #2?
