The trade is Richard Jefferson to the Spurs for Bruce Bowen, Fabricio Oberto and Kurt Thomas ... more coming in just a second. Deal is agreed to in principle with a trade call coming later today.

Hopefully they do something this time, rather than flirting with cats like Vince Carter only to trot out the same tired ass, no name Euros, and retreads to play with their big 3.

But damn, I'm tired of the Spurs deep in the playoffs. Thought we were past all that.

spurs are on their way down. you will see what bowen meant to them when he's gone.

td and manu are losing battles to age and injury. tony and rj can run all day but they're going to be playing 2 on 5.

We still are. RJ doesn't automatically put them in the WCF. He's not that good.

Denver and Portland will be stronger next season.

Bowen has BEEN gone for quite some time if you really think about it. He's been horrible for over a year+.

Duncan-Parker-Manu can still do what it takes to win. You throw Jefferson in there and whatever this year's veteran to their bench is and you've got a title contender.

The run is coming to an end but it's not there yet. Don't count them out. It only comes down to health for them and not for nothing they aren't ANCIENT.

Great trade for both teams. If the Bucks can get one of the PGs in the draft like Flynn or Jennings with the 10th pick then sign Charlie V then they can have a twin tower type first five.

C-Bogut
PF-Gadzuric
SF-Charlie V
SG-Redd
PG-Flynn/Jennings

Bench - Bowen, Oberto, KT, Session and Bell

Spurs would be great too and if they can finally sign Tiago then even better.

Does this mean Bucks are intent on re-signing Charlie V?

I can't see them losing both RJ and Charlie's scoring.

Uhh... this is the best the Bucks could get for RJ? Not even an young player?

i was thinking the same. they should at least get a 2nd rounder or maybe one of those 1st round picks that the Spurs made years ago.

Bucks didn't even get George Hill in this deal. Epic fail.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

This is a bull**** trade...can't explain how the hell this makes any sense what so ever....for RJ they should have gotten the 1st and second rounder in this deal.

Now as far as the Bucks and Charlie V...they didn't even wanna start him or run any offense through him...if they re-sign him I will be shocked. To hell with that stupid ass franchise....one less team to worry about.

The state of everything is buying things significantly undervalued. If it keeps the Bucks afloat it's a good trade for them. I really think the arenas will be emptier this coming season than last

I just wanna add....with teams throwinf players like Rondo, Ray Allen, Amare, and Bosh....you mean to tell me that you would trade RJ to the spurs for that ****???

You mean to tell me a team like the Kings Golden State couldn't give the Bucks a better deal??? What about the Knicks??? I would trade Wilson and change for RJ....

Pure bull****.

RJ on the Knicks contract wise probably eliminates them from LBJ contention. So no, I don't make that trade.

That is a phenomenal pick up by the Spurs. RJ may get his ring. It goes to show what you can get for expiring contracts.
