I think if someone has talent and plays like a professional (not to mention technically is a professional in Europe) then players are going to give him a chance. With pros I think his actions will speak louder than words and you have to realize something, he is a pass first point guard with great vision and he can defend. I don't see why pro players would not respect a guy who can help their stats out, and still defend on the other end of the court.
As long as he shows that he can make individual players and the team better, they will be willing to work with Rubio and eventually let him take the lead.
The guy has been playing with and against grown men for how many years? There is always going to be a growing process for any young player, but few have been thrown against the kind of competition he has faced at such a young age.
Are you really talking about his physical ability at this point, and the fact that he cannot leap tall buildings in a single bound? Rubio will get stronger as he matures- just a matter of time, but will a player like Evans ever develop the court sense that Rubio has?
You also get the sense that Rubio is probably a gym rat. He will adapt to what he faces in the NBA and by the end of the year he should be holding his own on a regular basis. He'll take his lumps, of course, but he will be popular with his teammates and set the stage for his eventual rise as a floor leader.
