i asked this every year so here we go again. remember, these are rumor picks that we have a chance of getting via trade/order so no thabeet or griffin:

1.) rubio- very happy, i think he would be the best pick for us though his range is suspect as well as speed. however, i can envision a steve nash career and he is a great enging in our offense.

2.) curry- very happy, out of all the rookies, he is the most ready made for our offense. he can run efficiently and can flat out shoot. his athleticism is questionable as well as true pg skills but still good.

3.) jennings- happy, though not ecstatic. a true pg but his shot is very suspect as well as ability to run a team. his attitude isnt top notch and i am worried of him getting eaten up by ny.

4.) flynn- happy but i rather have the upper two. he is a blur and can run a team but i have a feeling that he might have a hard time adjusting since he used his speed and athleticism to get by in college. cant get by like that in the nba.

5.) hill- ok though he is undoubtedly skilled, he is very raw and how many pf are we going to have? unless we are getting rid of lee which i dont see that happening unless a great trade comes along. this would be a meh pick.

6.) holiday- undecided, dont know that much about him but i would be disappointed because i just here upside and not clarity. we need a proven player now.

do you always get this many responses when you ask this question? haha, jk!

I think any of those players would make me happy, I don't thin anyone can really make me unhappy....hmm, except for Jennings, because I believe that he is a scumbag.

The picks that would make me super-happy are Rubio and Curry.
WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

I would have to go with Rubio, Curry, Evans, Flynn, Hill, Thabeet in that order. I wouldn't be to disappointed if the Knicks got one of these guys. But Rubio, Curry and Evans would make me happy if they were to become a knick.

I'll leave Griffin & Thabeet out of this....

Happiest with....Rubio, Harden, Holiday or Derozan
Happy with...Curry, Evans, Flynn, Jennings
NOT happy with...Hill or Lawson

My gut tells me our pick will be Holiday or Flynn....Derozan is the dark horse.

happiest - Derozan, Rubio
happy - Hill, Evans, Curry, Holiday
undecided - Jennings
not happy - Harden, Clark
happy only if Rubio/Derozan are no longer an option & we trade down - Mullens, Flynn, Lawson

gut tells me we're trading up for Rubio or Curry

I'd switch Jennings andHill. Jennings just seemts to have a ton of potential.

Curry - He could be a home run. He's the kind of player that can carry an offense, passing well and shooting very, very well. He's not great defensively, but he'll work at it and hold his own. The only other player at this level is named Griffin and he's unreachable. If Curry isn't there, I'd look for a partner to trade down and pick up a pick in next season's draft. Assuming we don't do that get Curry or trade back, I like Holiday and Flynn at the point, Hill at pf/c and DeRozan and Evans at shooting guard.

To me it's very simple

Curry or Evans --maybe Derozan but I have not heard of an improved handle or jumpshot and those are pre-requisites at 8

If not trade back and see if we can dump Jefferies.

Jrue Holiday is NOT pick 8--for example if we traded Jrue Holiday to Memphis for Tyreke Evans would Memphis had won 25 straight? Would Holiday have 33-5-4 in his last college game--answer NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO No not even close. If Im actually picking 8 I want someone who can play NOW--if not I would rather look at some interesting prospects later in the draft and see if I can lose Jefferies--if I lose Jefferies I win no matter what.

So we should not pick a player in this draft at 8 for picks sake--eithe move up--get the player you want at 8 or move down rid a contract.

I totally agree with you. The Knicks have to take something they want and not just make a pick for pick sake. If they want Rubio, Curry or Evans then they should go out and make sure they get them. But to pick for pick sake which I think Holiday would be is setting the franchise back. I agree with you if they can get rid of Jefferies in the process of trading down they should do it. Iwould be happy with flynn at 8 if he is there nad the others off the board, but not sold on Jrue Holiday.

Knicks needs to pick for whomever they project to be the better player 2-3 years down the line.

we all sit here and come up with tons of fantasy trades every summer but the reality is whatever guard gets picked has 4 vets in Duhon Hughes Q and Nate plus the spot minutes given to Chandler at 2 in front of him. Even if they move Duhon and/or Hughes ending deals, it'll likely bring back another guard who'll comand minutes.

Whomever is drafted is looking at a host of DNP-CD's and 10-15 mpg tops when he does get in the game.

I like Evan's quite a bit and would be VERY happy if we get him at #8.

BUT I don't agree with a couple of things you stated --- first off who cares if Holiday would have lead Memphis to their record or put up great stats in the last game of the year. Bottom line is who will be the best player for the Knicks long term. Not day 1 but long term.

Also points should be secondary when talking about a point guard -- haven't we already had a point guard here who was awesome at getting to the rim and putting up 20-8 every night? We need someone with upside -- who plays the entire game and who will make people around him better.

I don't know if that guy is Evan's or Holiday --- I see Evan's as a bigger scorer but after that I see Holiday having the edge almost everywhere else.

I like both guys - will be happy with either --- but I just don't understand why Holiday (2nd youngest player in the draft) has any less upside than anyone else in this draft.

Why disappointed with Holiday if, as many suggest, he could be the whole package in a couple of years? Hardly any of this prospects are gonna have a huge impact on their teams next season other than Griffin...

the total package Jrue Holiday FOR THE WIN

http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/up/player/popup/?rn=207187&cl=14094155&ch=244098&src=sports

Jrue is a coach's kid and he plays like it.

He can turn on the jets when its there and One thing he has over every other guard is he can finish strong with both hands.
