Look, I've only seen a few clips of Rubio just like everyone else, but whenever I read a scouting report on him, I have to scratch my head. How is a guy he can't shoot (how many big time Euro players can't shoot?), unatheletic, turnover prone, etc touted as a top 3 pick? Yes, I know the draft is a bit weak, but he might be a bit over hyped aswell.

I know one thing, I was really high on Jennings last year. In fact, if he would have come stright out of HS, there is no doubt he would be a top 7 pick this year, easy. Wouldn't be disapointed at all if we end up taking this kid. My top 3 at 8.

1. Curry
2. DeRozan
3.Jennings

Interesting. I think Jennings has a little bravado that might suit him well. It will be interesting to see if he can back it all up.
You know I gonna spin wit it

he is not alone

doubt Jennings makes it past GSW but now that he is stateside working out and the Kings have hired Westphal, could easily see the Kings drafting him.

i know about as much about Rubio as i know about Jennings, which isn't all that much... just YouTube clips & scouting reports on Draft websites... i venture to guess that most of us are in the same boat when it comes to those 2... if Jennings were being projected #2 overall i'm sure many people would think he's all hype also because it's not likely he'd be risking his draft positioning by working out for teams either... Jennings is the one trying to improve his draft slot, not Rubio... of course Rubio is all hype... & teams & scouts are buying into the hype, but that hype has to be based on some kind of percieved evidence... drafts are always a crapshoot & i think Jennings has as much of a chance to be a star or a bust as Rubio does, i don't think there's a big difference in talent level there... upside potential maybe a different story considering Rubio's age & size, but in the end it's all up to how hard these decide to work... both are easily top 10 level prospects in my humble view.

i think Flynn made a much better account of himself w/his comments than Jennings here... Jennings comes across disrespectful & cynical towards Rubio, Flynn just seems confident & seems to want to show teams what he can do.

alot of salt directed at Rubio for his refusal to work out against any of the other top rated pg's. he is being considered for the same jobs they are competing for.

i wouldn't be working out either if i knew i was pretty much guaranteed of being taken in the top 3... the only place u can go is down... doesn't help your cause at all to be working out against guys projected to go much later than you are... Branden Jennings will be able to play against Ricky Rubio soon enough, there's no need for him to be taking shots at the guy for making a smart business decision... i don't care what he says, Jennings would be doing the same thing if he were in Rubio's shoes.

Flynn is the better kid/person.

To me all this talk by Jennings is a red flag for teams to be aware of.

Didn't see Jennings (nor Rubio, but as was said, he is a top 3 pick) at the Euro workouts, did we? Why not show up?

Why should it matter if players go head to head, by the way, or 3/3 competition. BB is 5/5. last time I watched a game, and the dynamics are different than 1/1 or 3/3 competition, and the better player in the 5/5 setting might not necessarily be better with reduced numbers.

Lot of hype linked to Rubio, but he has been paying his dues in Europe for a number of years, and held his own in the Olympics.

Why not just show what you can do on the court and keep it humble in the interviews?

Jennings, despite his talent, may end up being more trouble than he is worth in terms of team chemistry.

I thought Jennings was going to Europe to mature both his basketball game and as a person? Guess that didn't work out too well in either respect.

And it should be. I had this problem with Gallinari last year and said I would blast Rubio or anyone else including Griffin if they pull this stunt. And Griffin is the main reason why there was no 5 on 5 action at the combines. Dude if you don't want to participate than don't show up so everyone can just talk about how scare you were to go up against other players. One foot in and one foot out stuff makes me piss.

Thought the agents were more responsible for this than anyone else.

His agent more to the point and his agent works for him. Him trying to hide behind that fact didn't sit well with me.

i dunno what kinda person he is but he could definitely stand to learn a bit of humility, especially when his own stats in the Euro leagues were nothing to write home about either... he's got just as much to prove as Rubio, probably more... at least Rubio showed himself on an international stage in the Olympics... Jennings hasn't proven himself in NCAA or even in the Euro ranks as of yet... having a chip on your shoulder is great, but do it the right way... dunno about team chemistry issues or anything like that, would have to hear from his teammates in Europe to hear how they feel about him to determine that, but openly disrespecting another player when you yourself haven't proven anything definitely raises red flags on this kid.

LOL, we kill Chandler for not walking around like this and then we kill guys like Jennings for doing so. Maybe it isn't them but the people who are always commenting on them.

I have to agree what jennings said and all things he said were true about ricky rubio. Here my take on this what he said about ricky rubio I think rubio is scared to workout against all these top point guards in this year draft. This like if gallanari didn't workout for any team last year he would not be on this team if he skipped workouts I really belive if gallanari didn't work out for any team we would have pick somebody else in last years draft. I can respect Gallanari more because he acually did workout for 5 nba teams even though I didn't like this pick I can respect him. On a side note I think lot of these top point guards in this year draft really hate ricky rubio because they have to show teams what they can do against other elite point guards and he doesn't have to do nothing and I think these elite point guards really want to know why this guy is still a top 3 draft pick when he has done nothing. In last year draft everybody knew derrick rose was going to be the first point guard taken and every other point guard respected that decision because he was that good there were no aurguments about that from anybody.

guys are coming down pretty hard on Jennings for speaking the truth as he sees it.

He didn't pull an I'm the best pg in the draft stunt ala Steph. He said put Rubio in a room with me Flynn Holiday Curry Lawson and he will come out on the bottom.
