Format:

Every 6 hours, a voting period will open for the next pick. Just respond with who you think the team will select. After the voting period is over, the majority vote is the pick. Then the next voting period for the next pick will begin. I will do my best to keep it going and I will keep updating the draft board above.

We will try to get 3 picks in each day. Voting periods for first pick will end around 12pm EST, second pick around 6pm EST, and third pick at midnight EST. If you don't see a post by me ending the voting period and starting the next one, take it upon yourself to do it. I will then update the board when I get a chance to Log In.

Let's see how this goes...please sticky this...

I didnt know you meant like this???? I thought it was going fine--people picking the teams they wanted---3 a day for 3 weeks? Just take a team fill it up and lets go--this will take 3 weeks just to see who. I thought you meant when we fill up the sheet the draft will go 6 hours at a time.

Im sorry I like the BRIGGS D format of just fill the frikin thing up with the team you want and when we get uit filled up will start in the morning one day givnmg each pick either a half hour or an hour for the pick.

We want production bro!

Might as well make it a poll vote if you are going this direction. I understand though because a missing poster can slow things up the other way too.

This is awful--I just didnt get what you were saying---no each guy who picks should give their own individual input for the pick--this is just a poll--this takes the individuality a nd fun completely out of it and its slower than my granny walking up the stairs.

hard to do it with a poll because the choices will be far and wide.

this is gonna get complicated with briggs last comment.

We can still do both Briggs..

i happen to like the idea, but i know traditionally the other method was used.

i think this style is more inclusive.

i never bothered to get involved in the other version.

too savant in nature.

i have no clue who some team takes at 54.

the voting will clearly drop as the draft goes on with su's version.

but i'm not saying things should change either.

we can have both, imho.

Yeah but this will be just white noise at certain picks and other guys will be just going with a mob mentality. At least with a poll format, it will be organized. Limit choices for each voting segment. Say like a 10 pick range. You going to have guys screaming for the same player for 5 straight selections if you keep it like this.

Is there anyway to create a custom poll where you pool a group of players and just do just three teams a day?

For example, for the Clippers just have like say 5 players that have a realistic shot at being selected #1 and so on. As the teams change some obvious players could be eliminated from the pool who you already expect to be gone like a Griffen at say pick #5 and a Budinger added. Just throwing that out there.

Having run mock drafts in various formats, the best way to do it is give each player a team and if they don't make their pick in a timely fashion to have the users vote. Everything else takes too long.

Going by poll doesn't work, you'd have some well known guys drafted too high, like Lawson, and lesser known guys drafted too low or not at all.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
