If we get Thabeet at 3 I will call for Donnie's head.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I think Rubio was numbered incorrectly- supposed to be #2.

I have no faith left in the draft gods luck - the Knicks just dont have it, I say #8 Curry.

I don't even think the Knicks will be drafting number 8. Some team or teams will jump them and get into the top three pushing the Knicks down a draft pick or two. Most likely the Knicks will draft 9 or 10.

While I agree its long overdue, this franchise has a way of winning just enough games to ensure that we will not get a good draft pick (unless we traded the pick, then it is a good one)

there's no way we can get the 5th pick, barring a trade.

i have a feeling it will be stephen curry at 9.

If it were me, I'd take Rubio #1 or #2... I think this'll play out like Oden/Durant-lite, except Griffin will be significantly better than Oden but the #2 guys ends up being a better player

Or 8, IMO.

I really believe that they will go for the sharpshooter with a BB pedigree, high BB IQ, and the ability to distribute (which they probably think he can do). He is physically immature, but in terms of understanding the game, he is probably a few years ahead of Evans and DeRozan, and has a better jumper than Jennings or Lawson.

Depending on how things actually shake out before the Knicks draft, I think they would take him anywhere from 6 (maybe 5?) to 9 if he is available. If we drop to 9 and he is not available, I could see us taking Holiday if he impresses MDA and Walsh in his workout with the team.

This is s PG rich draft, and we need a PG.

I would love Rubio, but would be pretty satisfied with Curry.

I think we're going to get Curry...he's everything we want in a point guard so can't really complain.

i just wanna make this point....

Stephen Curry's name is a combination of the 2 biggest descraces this franchise has ever seen in Stephon (kinda like Stephen)....and Eddy Curry....hopefully with this kid he'll have enough in him to take the Knicks where they need to go.

I have the same feeling too. It seems to always happen to them too.

All I can say is that there are about 3-4 pgs worth taking with a top-12 pick. We should be able to get our playmaker for the future if Walsh can properly evaluate talent. IMO Curry is the safest pick. While he is not going to be an elite athlete, the guy has a high BB IQ, is the best shooter in the draft, and will not disappear in crunch time. He is enough of a PG to develop into a better shooting version of Mike Bibby. Guys like Jennings scare me because they can easily become a bust if their jumpers do not develop. My only question with Curry is can he guard opposing pgs? If he can, I draft him and watch him hit 3s for the next decade.

I really think this franchise would be completely wrecked if we draft Curry for the next several years.

We don't have a pick next year and we don't have lottery talent on the roster.

This is a pick that you have to hit on. If Curry comes here and pulls a Reddick then we're completely effed.

Why draft a guy in the lottery who is not quick, can't jump, doesn't have size, and is just learning the point?

Because he's a feel good pick?

No thanks.

i agree... even if Curry ends up being a good player or not, i think we should take the highest upside guy w/the most physical ability & talent... gotta shoot for the future star potential guy here... if we swing & miss while taking a flyer in the kid w/the most physical talent, i can take that.

i have love for everyone, but this is a pretty silly thread, don't we think?

unless any of us can peer into a crystal ball that tells the future we're trying to discuss something that is complete guesswork, not a skill, and whose outcome is random (unless you are convinced the lotto is fixed, of which none of us can point to any legit evidence other than arbitrary speculation today)...that's why it's called a lottery.

in other words, how can any of us answer this question honestly?

my answer...

i have ZERO clue other than that the probability is highest we end up at 8, and least at 1.
Forum Po Po and #33 for a reason...

the whole point to this site is speculation isn't it?

I believed the lottery is 8 days away. I wouldn't bank on any miracles. The Knicks NEVER, EVER, EVER have any luck in this. And don't say Ewing. That was 24 years ago and was the last gift Stern ever gave us.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.
