Personally I think Nate Robinson and Al Harrington would be real playoff performers... Nate especially, I think we have to keep Nate cuz he is the type of player/energy that could win a series for you. After watching these playoffs I think a lot of these teams will scoop him up if we are stupid and let him go. That fire and passion goes along way in the playoffs.

Correction - EXCEL before yall go nuts lol

Nate & Al would have big moments & make big shots because neither of them are scared to fail... Chandler would be big in a playoff series too IMO, but probably would be more of a steady presence & not go crazy in the 4th quarter in crunchtime, as would D Lee... i think Duhon would make some big shots as well & so would Q, but they would probably struggle against tough, physical perimeter defense... i get a sense that Gallo would come up big in moments in the playoffs if healthy... he seems like he's got the knack for the dramatic to me for some reason.

None of them imo.

No one on the roster is capable of leading the Knicks to the playoffs, so what makes you think certain guys would excel ?

I think GALLO will when he is healthy. his free throw shooting percentage, in his rookie year, at the garden, is like 90+%, this indicates mental fortitude and therefore a winning brain.

why are we talking about NAte and Al becoming playoff performers ??

Just like ramtour420 said previously, we need to make the playoffs first.

Harrington is a low percentage, high volume shooter. How does he not get worse in the play offs?

that's a fair argument considering he's averaging 8 points in 23 mpg on 38% shooting during postseason play over his career... i just think he's the kinda guy that could heat up during a playoff series if given a major role in the offense... when he was in GS he was like the #4 scoring option behind Arenas, Stephen Jackson & Jason Richardson... if this Knicks team were to make the playoffs as currently constructed, you'd have to believe he'd play a much bigger role in the offense than he has previously in his career.

That was not the question asked by the OP.

What do you mean when you say "capable of leading the Knicks to the playoffs," anyway? Everyone understands that the Knicks need to develop a go to player who can rise to the occasion and come through in big moments. That does not mean that other guys on this team cannot contribute in the right situation and with the right teammates.

If you think that every starter on the 16 playoff teams is "capable of leading" their respective team to the playoffs without taking into consideration the total makeup of the team they play on and the particular contributions they make, you may want to study the sport a little more closely.

Well spoken or should I say great reply. I wouldn't care if we traded the whole team. How much worse could it get?

Glen Davis was beasting in the playoffs... do u think he's a better player than those guys? i don't... don't look at things w/such a narrow scope... yes, we all know this team sucks... that doesn't mean we don't have some good players.

Playoffs is about making stops. So being we are weak on D, I don't see much of Sharington or Nay Nate being those guys.

Then last posessions I can see Nate dribbling into a crowd and getting a TO, and Sharington managing the clock to get take a fall away three pointer and complaining he was hit..

I see Lee hitting getting some nice tip ins and doing his thing, but getting killed in a 4 game series against the Magic.
