With all the big names in 2010--this guy is headed right up to the top 5 names--expect him to get a maximum type contract from either Boston or somebody else. I couldnt imagine if Boston would let him go but this guy is turning into a star.

Possible. Boston is done unless they make a major trade.

Noah has impressed me in this series for the bulls although he isn't going against KG...but he is a solid player, not a star but he can play

It would be a good idea Briggs, but I don't see how Boston lets him go. Once Garnett, Pierce, Allen retire soon, they are going to need someone else to build with.

You are certainly right though, Rondo is just playing outstanding.

Rondo's a lot better than i ever thought he'd be... he's definitely proving many doubters including me wrong about him.

I will definitely say the same, TMS. Up until about 4-5 days ago I was still a Rondo doubter - he's shut me up.

he's probably taken the mantle over from J Kidd as the best rebounding & defensive PG in the NBA now w/the way he's been playing... almost impossible to stop this guy from penetrating to the hole... he uses his length & athleticism really well & makes up for his lack of perimeter shooting, which i believe will probably improve over time also... he's definitely growing into 1 of the best PG's in the NBA.

for some inexplicable reason we never seem to be interested in buying extra late 1st round picks for cash... w/all the guaranteed roster spots already taken up for next season i doubt we'll be buying any picks this year too... hope that won't be the case.

I agree. Rondo's great. I never expected him to develop into this kind of player.

Boston's done???? They're probably going to make it to the 2nd round WITHOUT KG! Throw a healthy KG in and this team would compete with any team.

Don't take away from the fact that Rondo is playing head to head with a monster like Derrick Rose...its been a great series to watch...

I applaud the Bulls for coming together when it counted...they have a decent roster. Lots of guys that get after it and play hard and love the game.

Ah how I wish the Knicks could catch up so they can compete with the talent out there.

I think guys can agree that Rondo is better than Chris Duhon...cuz if I can remember correctly a lot of dudes here were saying Duhon was better.

Only 11 spots under contract for next season and that's including Lee and Nate. There are 4 spots up for grabs right now. Instead of filling up the back end of the roster with failures and retreads like Sene, Hunter, Sims and Joe Crawford (guys we already know MDA doesn't care for as he didn't really bother to play any of these guys extended mins. even when we were mathmatically eliminated from the playoffs) or the typical summer league no-names that we keep inviting back year after year - guys that have NO SHOT to make the team like Paul Miller, Dan Grunfeld, Brian Greene, Walker Russell, etc..., I'd much rather see us acquire some additional picks anyway possible and grab some low risk/high reward guys mid-late in this draft - guys I've seen, guys that I know can play and help fill out the roster and fill deficiencies. My plan all along has been to zero in on and get the guy they want in this draft with our pick at 8 (hopefully higher - God-willing) then either purchase or trade for as many additional picks as they can get their hands on and grab additional talent. All the way through the end of the draft right on into the undrafted pool, there will be talent available that can come in and have an impact. If they're smart they'll load up and grab as many bodies out of this draft as they can to improve the talent base moving forward.

(1) Grab the BPA with our pick - I wouldn't be opposed to dealing the pick however to either move up or trade down for multiple 1st rounders.
(2) Net another 1st rounder and grab an additional impact player lower in the 1st round - Jeff Teague [I'd take a long look at Teague with the 8th pick if we remain at 8], DeJuan Blair and Sam Young are all guys I like a lot with an additional 1st but there are others.
(3) Acquire a 2nd rounder or 2 and look to bring in more talent - there should be skilled players still on the board throughout the 2nd round that can help us - all types of skilled players: defender/rebounders like Taj Gibson, additional skilled PGs or combos like Darren Collison, AJ Price, Tyrese Rice, Jerel McNeal, quality perimeter shooters like Dionte Christmas, Jermaine Taylor....
(4) Invite QUALITY guys to camp like AD Vassallo, KC Rivers, Jack McClinton to come in an compete for a final roster spot if they go undrafted.... Not sure about you guys but I'd much rather see some of these guys in camp this summer than guys like Brian Greene or Walker Russell...

Done winning chips...KG is going downhill so is Ray Allen. They're good enough to compete now, but they are just going to get worse, certainly not better.

Cook, i don't see anybody killing you for saying Rondo was better than Duhon on that thread... the way both players were playing at the time it was a fair argument to make that Duhon was the better PG... clearly that's been proven wrong w/how Rondo has emerged as a star calibre PG now... no need to take potshots at people for having a different opinion.

& Bip should be officially banned for finding a thread where i look stupid for saying Duhon was a better PG... he's clearly a racist hatter.

Put Duhan with 3 HOF players and watch him get better too.
