Thanks, VDesai. You are quite the IT master. Stephen Curry seems small for a two guard, I don't now where this point guard talk is coming from? He is a 2 guard. He is a healthier Jamal Crawford. I don't want him.
WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

I think he does it on purpose. He used to fool me on it but I caught on after the fourth or fifth time of me instructing him how to post it.

curry is 6'3" 185. steve nash is 6'3" 180.

RE: orangeblobman, bob knight said he thought curry was the best passer in the country last yr. take that for what its worth. curry played with a bunch of bums at davidson, if he had guys to actually dish to i think he could grow into a fine PG.

Curry is the same height and heavier than Monta Ellis but no one says Ellis cant hold up to the rigors of the NBA. Maybe Ellis can't hold up to mopeds, but he certainly has been fine otherwise.

I would be apathetic if we picked Curry at 8, the same as I was towards Gallo. I do like his game and would be interested in drafting him, but just not as our sole draft pick. There are guys I like better (Maynor, Jennings, Derozan) but if we did pick him, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, imho.

The NY media hasn't been hyping the Curry/James connection much lately... I would imagine the Knicks drafting Curry would have something to do with a conversation from WWWes.
You know I gonna spin wit it

Wow, great point! Totally forgot about LeBron/Curry's relationship. Something to pay attention to, I suppose...

LeBron showed up at atleast one of Davidson's games to watch Curry.

Well no one said they were best friends but it is apparent they do have a some sort of relationship.

It is also thought that LeBron's LRMR marketing firm is looking to sign him.

From the Cleveland Plain Dealer...
Davidson College star Stephen Curry is expected to decide this weekend whether or not to declare for the NBA draft. James, who is close with Curry and attended a Davidson game earlier this season in Charlotte, N.C., said he’d be glad to offer advice if Curry asks. James stopped short of making a public recommendation, but he wasn’t exactly vague on what he thinks Curry should do.

“Just looking at his family, I don’t think financially he’s hurting so that’s not the reason he’d come out,” James said. “If he believes he’s ready for the NBA; you have to look at your draft status and do well in the pre-draft camps and stuff like that, he’s got the talent. We’ll see what happens.”

It would not be surprising to see Curry as a guest of James at an upcoming Cavs game. If Curry does declare, it is possible James’ LRMR Marketing firm may even look to sign him. Last year, James used a long relationship with O.J. Mayo to sign him and later Mayo agreed to a shoe deal with Nike.

If you guys watch Davidson play...Curry is looking to pass. He has his head up and eyes lurking...but his team is terrible. I dunno what either of Dell Curry's kids were thinking by going to small schools...both of them are good players.

Well back to the point guard play of Curry. He is actually a pass first guard. That sounds funny but its true. Him taking all those shots in college is by design cuz the rest of the team is like jared jeffies just at different heights.

...He is actually a pass first guard...

Yup. And he's a brilliant passer. Unselfish but, well, very, very competitive. I'm with Knight on this. I didn't see anyone in college ball this year who was a better passer. Had he played with a real team this year, his assists numbers would have been much higher. Also, he's a much smarter player than Crawford--I'd put his team play at the level of, say, Battier. He does all the little things and he quickly adapts his game to take advantage of the other teams weaknesses. When he played summer ball with the big kids--like James--he did just fine. (Sure, it's summer league but, IIRC, he handled Bryant with aplomb.) Throughout the year, when he played against quality players, he dominated, even if his team got taken apart at every other position.

He's worth a lottery pick but if the Knicks end up with a top three pick, I don't think they can pick Curry. Presumably, more than one team has told him they'll take him in the lottery since he's hiring an agent and so on.

My concerns--in addition to Curry being just a bit slow and bit small--are that his style of play will lead to injuries and he already has some issues with his wrist and his ankle. Also, he's going to need some time to adapt to the NBA, Davidson is not, ahem, the D-League, it's more like the Z-league.
