Chaney and assistant Brendan Malone pulled up a chair to watch McDyess' 2-on-2 game featuring rookies Mike Sweetney and Maciej Lampe and player development coach Tyrone Corbin.

McDyess made two scintillating dunks. First, he drove by Lampe along the baseline and made a spectacular righthanded reverse slam, drawing a howl from Malone. Then he blew by Lampe again down the lane for a thunderous righthanded jam. He tripped, tumbled to the court but bounced to his feet instantly. IMHO Lampe is too slow of foot to get run for the knicks right now, he would make 12 men even look good if he had to guard them. We already have Houston's Matador defense to deal with.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Playa...what do you think playing time is for during a rookie season?

To learn, improve, and get experience. None of which this kid is getting sitting on the bench here. Who cares about McDyess...you really think he is going to last? I bet Camby lasts longer this season the Dyess does.

What does DICK CHANEY & DON CHANEY have in common ?? They both accidentally fell into a job they don't deserve & really suck at doing it !!!! Both need to be fired !!!

Playa you were at the practice wow man. Or were you just dreaming. Everyone here knows why Lampe isn't playing he is 18 and from the Euro League. They have no roster spots because they want to give it to the vets. Its as simple as that. Why you so down on a player that hasn't been given a chance to play yet.

playa is a fool. dice even on reconstructed knees is still a imposing player, for christ sakes he was a rising star in the league, to use this practice as an indictment on lampe is assinine and in true "playa" fashion. Playa gives reason why the rookies shouldn't play, but can't explain to us why we should have othella and spoon out there, only besides the fact that they are veterans. That is pitiful, and this weak thread is typical of playa's Bull Sh*t!!!

Lampe is 18. His UPSIDE is 100 times the upside of Spoon and Othella put together!
It is a good thing that Dice can still get by him, that means two things. Dice still has some speed and Lampe is still young and learning.

I say let him learn in real games. Better him than Spoon or Harrington.

My bad playa, But 2 on 2 is not 5 on 5. I think Lampe will be good in time. But NBA PT is what players need and thats how they get better. I just think and see Frank Williams had they given him serious run last year he would be head and shoulders better than Ward and Eisley.

It tells me a few things, when you are this young (18)and you are slow of foot, YOUR defense will SUFFER AND can only change if God reinvents his feet to be quicker and he loses weight LOL. Most young guys who can score but can't play defense don't get run for awhi le. The word UPSIDE is sometimes USED TO MUCH for many Pro athletes who can't cut the rotation.

Playa, Outside of criticizing Lampe, You talk about Allan's matador D. Now if I recall correctly, Allan looks like a defensive specialist compared to ya boy KVH.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

How much worse can Lampe be compared to Spoon? Granted Spoon plays better defense but you can hide deficiencies. Playing a zone would definitely help when playing Lampe.

First off, I have been saying the same thing DefandReb mentioned about the corparate structure for OVER a year now. Secondly, I guess you have the inside track over at MSG since somehow all the rest of us are "sofa watcher fans". We must not all have the John Wallace connection that gets us the keys to MSG like you do.

Are you blind, the knicks were never in a playoff run, that is fools gold, we were so far from the playoffs that it wasn't funny, remember with that knicks team 3 games out was as good as being 30 out fool. and what consolation is " getting far in a playoff run" Is that like saying you almost got far toward the goal of almost getting laid? LOL. come on man.... if anything we should have played frankie lose some more games and get a better shot at Lebron or Carmello.....

All the knicks vets have been to the playoffs so they would rathrer have played those guys instead when a playoff berth was reachable.

Yes they do and if they just had a good coach, gm and owner they could do what SA did. Tank a year, get the top pick and be back to winning sooner than they will by trying to stay competitive and rebiulding! Those are the guys you defend! You are playing both sides as usual. I guess that is why you are playa huh?

Its very un-knick like, but they are playing frank, and he is responding. A growth process.

They did draft, negotiate, pay an 18 yr old whom won't contribute for some time. That is looking ahead, very un-knick like.

We are mired in the thick of another crappy season, but 40% of the roster is commited to youth, where it was filled with low priced space. Vujanic was also a youthful in the future prospect.

There is some hope where there used to not be any.

ANd that hope just reels me in to Support that knick Terrorism.
