Clipper Clipped for Driving Drunk

It's only getting worse for the Los Angeles Clippers... one of their alleged "stars" was busted for DUI early this morning.

Hours after the Clip Squad went down to the Lakers last night, Clipper power forward Zach Randolph was pulled over by California Highway Patrol officers on the 405 Freeway when they spotted Randolph's white Rolls Royce weaving in and out of his lane at around 2:25 AM.

Cops say when they approached the car, they "noticed an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from within the vehicle" and proceeded to perform some field tests on the 6'9," 255 pound 27-year-old. Randolph failed those and was arrested for DUI.

Randolph, who already has a previous DUI bust under his belt, is currently behind bars -- being held without bail.

and this is the reason you trade Zbo early this season for whatever you could get. Holding on to him would have def been a problem.

I love how we bring in knuckleheads and they're always on their best behavior as Knicks and not so much for others. Yes, I know there is one exception to that rule but I will not utter his name.

I have one question though. The drunk driving (in LOS ANGELES) is moronic enough - but someone please tell me why dude is driving a White Rolls Royce. Those are the type of cars someone drives YOU in.

I guess Plax and ZBo haven't been watching the Stallworth news.

(check out the latest Plax news in the Giants thread)

Nate would be getting in trouble like this all of the time too if he could only see over the wheel/ reach the gas pedal.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

1 time getting caught, fine, that stuff happens & u should learn from it... getting caught DUI twice... come on dude... really? i hope some time in jail will finally wake this guy up.

If I had a car like that, no matter how rich I was, I don't think I'd drive it if I had a cold, let alone drunk to the point of swerving on the highway.

Maybe he was seeing some chick on the side. You know he was tipping out and didn't want anyone to know about it. I don't think that he should have been held without bail. When will these sports players get it through thier heads that people are watching them.

in some states it's a mandatory overnight in jail even on a 1st offense w/a DUI... why should he get preferential treatment just cuz he's a professional athlete? Donte Stallworth's another idiot that just killed a man because he was driving under the influence... now he's looking at mandatory jailtime for vehicular manslaughter... Zach could have easily been involved in a similar situation... if u, me or anyone else on this forum were caught w/a DUI no one would have sympathy for us... why should famous people be treated any different?
