We just got punked in one of the most important games of the upcoming stretch.

Nate was invisible
Lee was overmatched
Duhon was ineffective
Chandler was passive
Q's ancient
Gallo's back in Italy
Curry's trying to practice without hurting his teammates

This team is not mentally strong. We need to completely wipe the slate clean through this draft.

Let Lee and Nate walk and use the luxury tax savings to buy high picks. Trade them in S&T deals. Trade Chandler. Trade Gallo. Trade Hughes. I don't care anymore.

We've got to target the players from this draft that Mike and Donnie think will work best in his system and do whatever it takes to go out and get them.

Holding back on moves when we were targeting OJ and Westbrook was shortsighted.

Clean the slate Walsh. I've seen too many of these games.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

The one thing I will add: it does look like Dave is playing hurt. Dude has no lift or energy.

Don't know what is up with Nate. And Harrington is caca unless he is in scoring mode.

it tells you that if you have a legitimate all star type player, it trumps a group of rotational guys...

Every time we get to a certain level, the professor, Vince Carter, is there to teach us that we're not even close.

We need to seriously target oversized, over athletic players in the mold of Boston, Cleveland, Atlanta, Orlando, and Philly.

Evans - Thabeet - Warren - Sanders - Christmas - Derozan - Maynor

Come on Donnie - get 'er done

Rod Thorn and the Nets scouts get it. Having a defensive presence at the 5 is important. Playing defense leads to team success.

if the knicks become buyers, they could have a backcourt of nash/vince next season.

if we get Vince this offseason we'll know for sure that Isiah's still in charge of this franchise.

I'd fully endorse a smart plan that involves the Knicks becoming buyers in a sellers market. There is too much talent to be had at low prices.

I want LeBron here as much as anyone, but if we have a shot to get some very good players right now, I think we have to take it.

They never really "got it" before. Who's the last big center they had?

Thorn just gets talent. Period.

that all depends on what players u'r talking about... players like Bosh, Amare, Paul, Howard, Kobe, etc... these are guys worth giving up any cap flexibility in 2010 for... u don't go all in on guys like Vince Carter... that's the same kinda logic that landed us Zach Randolph a couple years ago... Vince is not gonna get u where u want to be.

I didn't learn anything. I've known for a while that we shouldn't overpay for guys like Lee/Nate. I don't think its a coincidence that they are all the sudden having career years as soon as MikeD walks in the door. If they wanna resign for their proper value then I have no problem with it. Anything else, let the other teams in the league set the market, match the offer and pull a Sign&Trade for young players/draft picks.

Since LeBron is a pipe dream, the Knicks are still going to get stuck with second tier type superstars. Why wait for 2010 when that process can start this summer. I'm just not believer of this LeBron/Wade to NY crap that is not going to happen. I suggest the Kicks target Nash, Melo this off season and draft smart if they have a draft pick in this draft. Oh sign and trade Nate and Lee this might help the trades get done use all the expiring contracts to get solid deals done and develop a core that will win games and consistently get to the playoffs.

Next year I can see the Knicks make the playoffs with 50 wins but the right deal have to be made with the expiring deals.

You definitely have to be smart about it.

You can bring Vince in if you get some above average talent at the other positions too. Doesn't just have to be Kobe or Paul, you can get a lot of very good players together and build a contender that way too.
