Chris Mullin, reportedly on the verge of being let go from the Warriors' front office, could join Donnie Walsh's staff in New York.

Mullin was on hand at Madison Square Garden for this week's Big East Tournament and likely spent time with Walsh.

Walsh has hinted that he may make some changes but Glen Grunwald has proven a valuable asset whose understated approach Walsh appeciates.

Mullin, Billy Knight and Billy King are the most likely candidates to join the Knicks' organization.

So Mullin becomes the GM then?

I'm not sure what I think of that.

I dont want that dumb ass anywhere near the Knicks in any capacity. Naw, b, you cant even push Cheese Itz in the tunnel...that is one incompetent Clampett right there.

He has been GOD AWFUL for the Warriors.

More of the same. Didn't Isiah give Donnie credit for teaching him about the frong office? So how many people do they really need to run a franchise. Don't some of these guys have overlapping job duties.
0) Donnie
1) Grunwald still on board
2) Brought in Gabriel
3) He brought in his boy Ostarervic (something like that)
4) Dolan made sure that H20 is some type of "special" assistant to the GM whatever that means
5) Now add Mullin to the mix.
6) Isiah still collecting a check.

Whatever happen to Jamie Mathews from Siena wasn't he suppose to be one of the rising front office guys that Layden talked about before he got axed. I thought he was a possible candidate to take over from Isiah. Man, Dolan knows how to hand them checks out. He just creates new positions for these guys.

Hey as long as Chris brings Anthony Randolph and a six pack, it's all good.

FrankieIce makes too much stuff up. It stinks that other sites pick up his blog and repeat it as having some factual basis. Its is pure speculation.

I haven't followed who made what moves in Golden State, but they haven't been very good in a very long time, so I'm guessing Sebstar is right about Mullin.

My first thoughts: How old is he? Can he come off the bench for 25 mpg?

Mullin did a pretty solid job drafting in Golden State, right? Brandon Wright, Anthony Randolph, Monte Ellis among others.

Naw, Brandon Wright was a #8 Pick and he really hasn't done squat. Randolph is still a work in progress. Ellis is good. If you want to put these players in context, just imagine them as Knicks and how much we rip our players apart. Chandler/Lee/Nate are all really good, too and producing.

yes, but isiah picked those guys and we don't want him around right? i like mullin's draft record of recent memory better than donnie's or grunwald's. i'm just saying, mullin seems to have an eye for offensively gifted players who will suit D'Antoni.

Dont listen to the Zeke haters who can never say anything good about the guy --- Zeke was one of the best drafters around, if not the best. His record speaks for itself. Duke consistently grabbed ballers with really low picks. He just sucked at pretty much everything else.

i have defended zeke's draft record more than most on this board. but he's clearly not going to have much input anymore and i'm saying i like mullin's draft record. geez. i didn't think it'd be such a controversial statement.

If you have Mullin and Isiah scout college players and have somebody else evaluate pros you'd be all set.

I'm not paying the checks to have four GM's though.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Yeah, if Mullin were simply an advanced scout, or something along those lines, cool. But I dont like the idea of Mullin having any sort of significant role with the Knicks given his track record.

Dont need to be so touchy.
