I went on too Knicks.com and found an interesting article. I dont know if any of you guys read it, but it was put on there today after today's practice and it seems like Dyess could be closer then we all think, but since Lame Duck is still the coach, I doubt we'll see the myth that is Antonio McDyess

I guess Dyess is really gonna make it back... This is too much hype for this to simply be a smokescreen.

It's about to be Make it or Break it time!
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

McDyess started slowly but quickly asserted himself. It may not be difficult these days, but McDyess looked like the best Knick on the court. With a smile on his face, McDyess showed he could move with explosiveness on his left knee, which has been surgically repaired three times. He jumped in traffic, battled Dikembe Mutombo for rebounds, swiped passes on the perimeter and finished the day by swatting away a shot by Shandon Anderson. Listen if this guy stays healthy our athleticism is increased by 100% . Now we can really see the team that SCOTT LAYDEN PUT TOGETHER. Big money guys like Dice Houston and VanHorn, and role players like ward anderson Eisley can just be that and nothing more. When he comes back strong, this will be the time we can truly JUDGE LAYDEN DOLAN AND CHANEY'S MOVES.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Wow Playa, way to rest a franchise on a single players kneecap. As Hardcore said in his last post, it is "make or break time" and I don't know if he said it that way on purpose, but it literally is. Dyess might blow his knee out 2 games in or he might finish the season. Either way he is not the savior of this team. PErsonally, I think Chanye is rushing him back and changing his tune because the way this team started the season.

How sad is it that Dyess was best player on the court in his very first scrimmage? What does it say about the rest of the team? Man, he was an excellent player in his prime, but not one of the top 10 in the league, and now, after not playing for mroe than a year, he's the best guy out there at his first practice. KVH said the team doesn't practice hard enough ... looks like he was onto something.

I'm as excited as the next guy about him coming back, but we're putting an awful lot of eggs in a bum knee basket. Still hard for me to believe that there's a better than 50/50 chance of him coming back really strong and staying healthy.

Oasis what I'm saying is this The three highest paid players might be on the court at the same time, this is when we can actually see the big money players coming together to help motivate this team from playing so lethargic. Expecations among the players have to be on a all-time high!

I am glad Dice is coming back. If he is healthy it will expose Chaney for the fraud that he is as a head coach in the NBA. The fact that Layden defended him so blindly yesterday is a joke! The three of them should be taken out back and left to rot for what they have done to this team.

That being said, A healhty DIce should improve this team. For one thing, Spoon should never get on the court now. I can see KT starting at C with Dice and KVH. Deke will come in for D and Doleac for O. unfortunately, Anderson is still needed at the 3 but maybe one of the extra PF's can be traded now for a warm body.

Playa you are sure funny man. Don't go hiding now. NY will win the division now right? If they don't can you then tell me that Chaney sucks? Or will there be another excuse? THis is the last of the excuses, my friend, the LAST!!

Who is 1st place in the MIDWEST DIVISION?

as slow as our PFs are, its no surprise.

You know, there are moments when I read about Dice coming back, and think a 10 game winning streak is possible. We have been beaten down to long to think positively.

Ironic if Laydog turns out to be a genious! A healty trio of Dice-KVH and H20 is formatble.

Yeah its a stretch, but that knee holds up, then we can reread where some minds thought getting dice was a steal for us. Knee blows out, got to plan b. Dump the bloated, play the rookies and fill up more youth pipeline.

Time will Tell, Patience is be needed............and the bottom line is we have fun in pursuit of the truth. Oh, and winning would be nice!

There was the TNT in his legs on a soft fifteen-foot jumper. There was the out-of-nowhere impact-rejection on Shandon Anderson. There was the quick-slash penetration-pass, resulting in an artistic assist, to Frank Williams.

Sounds too good to be true.

I think at first Dice will come of the bench but when he's ready he should start in place of thomas.

Listen here Gony, if Dice doesn't have a set back with his knees, NY will put fear in teams just like they did in 1999. Nobody expected that lethargic team under vandunce to even make the playoffs that yr remember? All of a sudden someone gets an injury and he is forced to play camby and the rest is history. If the knicks take on the (US AGAINST THE WORLD) mentality we will be OK!

Actually in '99 everyone was saying how underachieving the Knicks were. They wanted JVG fired because they thought the team could do better. Than they beat the 1 seed and the rest is history.

Stop trying to rewrite history to suit your distorted hatred for JVG. How you can hate a winning caoch and philosophy, I have no idea. Even worse, you trumpet a losing philosophy of Chaney. The Knicks have no identity. The ROckets are now a defensive team that CAN, by the way, score pretty well too because the TALENT is there! Talent always makes a coach look good, just ask Phil Jackson!

Again, no match.

LMAO Who in their right mind fears this crew? LOL please man... stop it. This team has NO ONE that anyone with half a brain is gonna fear, Period.

Look at the major players on this squad:

Allan Houston- Choirboy who intimidates NO ONE.

KVH- Come the hell on now... His rep must've just popped outta thin air, then... LMMFAO

KT- One of the last remnants of all that wasn't soft on this team. He's been playing smarter this year so far and has been keeping himself out of foul trouble. Since he's been hanging with the God Squad, he hasn't had the same edge, but he's been working hard enough to not earn a rep for being a chump who disappears (see above).

Mutumbo- Prolly the only one besides KT that actually does present an intimidation factor on this team, age notwithstanding. All the opposition has to do is wait out Chaney till the 2nd half of the game, and POOF! No more Mutumbo. He'll be on the bench.

Dyess- Can be added to the Players with balls category along with KT and Deke (if he comes back and gets back in his former flow. The only pure athlete on this team, with heart and balls to match.

If anyone really believes that this crew can intimidate in this NBA in 2003, it shamefully shows how far both the team AND the fans (who believe that madness) have really fallen.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I don't think he meant pulling out a gun on the court and pointing at the opposition I think he was saying they can be a dangerous team because they might have some talent like the 99 team had when they were overlooked.
