Here are the standings as of today. Who do you think makes it, who doesnt, and who is your dark horse/sleeper team to sneak in?

My answers below

Makes It: Cleveland, Boston, Orlando, Atlanta, Miami, Detroit, NJ, Charlotte

Dark Horse/Sleepr to Sneak into Playoffs: Charlotte Bobcats

Go nuts UK and we'll see who's right in a few weeks.

Eastern W L
Cleveland (1) 47 12
Boston (2) 47 14
Orlando(3) 44 16
Atlanta (4) 34 26
Miami (5) 31 28
Detroit (6) 30 29
Philadelphia(7) 29 30
Milwaukee(8) 29 34
New Jersey 27 33
Chicago 27 34
Indiana 27 36
Charlotte 26 35
New York 24 35
Toronto 23 39
Washington 14 46

btw - its amazing how crappy a conference the east is...6th seed and only 1 game over .500.

Yeah but at the same time the East have three dominant teams too.

OK two dominant teams and a really really good one.

Hard to win games against Cleveland, Boston and Orlando.

Wow, we have to jump FIVE teams to make it.

charlotte has gone 20-17 since the trades of diaw/bell and that's with wallace + augustine missing major time.

The west have 5 teams with 18 or less wins you don't think the average teams don't get fat on them.

The Bucks have a tough run of games coming up. They'll be be on the outside looking in after a couple of weeks.

I think the Nets fill their spot.

We could get close in a couple of weeks if we can get our crap together, but there aren't many signs that we're capable of that.

It tells you a lot that Indiana and the Bucks have a better win percentage than us.

Larry has made 23 roster changes and has his team doing very well.

Oh well.

Knicks go to Charlotte on the 28th.

As a fan, one of my goals is that the team beats Charlotte.

Gotta beat Larry and MJ. They are both enemies of the Knicks' state.

Let's not forget that the year before Miami got Shaq, I believe only 4 teams in the east had winning records... and that was only after the Heat went on a great streak towards the end or it would've been only 3 teams. The east is weak... but it's been weaker.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Well, it depends on whose home town they're playing in, right?

Next games are Bobcats, Nets, Bucks, Pistons... doesn't get any more critical than this.

No excuses. Gotta take 3 of four here and see where you're at after that.

22 games left - 15 wins gets you to 40
if we win 3 of 4 it would be 18 games left needing 12 to get to 40

Basically have to win 75% of our games from here on out to get to 40... sheesh... a lot to ask.

don't worry, we'll get close & just miss out, & the team will feel a sense of accomplishment over it.

LOL, Al Trautwig said that the Bobcats don't have to worry about the Bobcats but they have a better record than the Knicks. Yet MSG is still pushing the playoffs stuff in their commercials and pre-game stuff. No shot for the Bobcats but the Knicks are in the hunt. Ok
