No. He does not have game. He is all hops. If it is not a dunk then he is not scoring.

I seem to remember that stro was going to be our savior a few( 2 or 3) yrs ago. Has his game gone downhill that much?? Seems hes just what we need a shot blocker and doesnt need points. IMO

He is a shotblocker but he will not get any minutes if he was here. So why bother picking him up? Wilcox who finishes strong around the basket barely gets playing time. I doubt Swift would even get 2 minutes a game if he was here.

I always saw Swift as a shotblocker, Wilcox is nowhere near the shotblocker Swift is.

Stro is worse than Samb?

I'd sign him for the remainder of the year if possible.

What exactly would that do for us? This team is not making the playoffs and Swift would only take playing time away from a guy like Gallo.

He had his chance but never took them, bouncing from one team to the next. Heck he was supposed to complement Yao Ming back in Houston but sucked at it. Sorry no thanks, we might have a new SS1 to complement JJ2

its a dice roll, and the pay off is stro figures out how to stick in the NBA.

Very limited downside. Worth the open roster space.

The dude has been in the L for 9 years - he's not gonna suddently get it. And frankly he's not even that good. For his career he's 8.5/4.7/1.3

Plenty of guys take a long time to figure things out. More don't.

We have two open roster spots and not one player who has averaged more than a block for their career.

That's fine but all I'm saying is that this team is not making the playoffs this year and anyone they add is likely not going to stick past this year so what's the point of finding a guy that will only eat minutes away from Gallo?

Signing Stro wouldn't take minutes from Gallo. D'Antoni & Gallo's back have already done that.

I can't believe the Nets can't make use of the dude. That would give me pause.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Best use of last spots on roster at this point are young unknowns with potential who shore up a weak spot (and would get playing time only if there are injuries, someone is slumping badly, or they are amazing in practice -- if we ever practice). Swift does not meet these criteria. Pass.
