Seriously, thank you Donnie.

PLEASE keep this kid a Knick!!!!

This summer is going to be scarey as a Knick fan I just can't bare to see Nate go, sure he has his shortcoming but he is what being a sports fan is all about. He is the best player to root for because he shows u all the emotion you feel like you would show if you were out there. He gives you a reason to cheer. He shares the fans passion and enthusiasm. This is a value we must not overlook. Not to mention the fact that he is a gREAT player!!!

When I saw that alan hahn article. Iseriously lost it and flipped the **** out. Here's to donnie walsh and some appreciation for the fact that little Nate is still wearing orange and blue.. and here's to hoping it stays that way for a long time!!!

SHAKE AND BAKE!!!!!!

BUt can we resign him. If Walsh would have worked out some 4-5 years deals and gave Nate and Lee a two year player option to get out of the deal if they outperform the contracts, we probably could have resigned Lee for $7.5 million and resigned Nate for $4 million and Walsh would now look like a genius. Now, we simply cannot resign both. Lee looks like he might get $10 million and Nate is starting to look like an above MLE player. It might take $7 million a year to resign Nate. Unless we cut Curry and get him to give us a big discount for paying him his money now, we cannot resign both and also have room for a max player.

As this point, I think we have to resign Nate. We can get Wilcox and maybe Dg to give us some of what Lee is doing, but we have no one on the team who can replace Nate.

^^TheGame focus on what you do have. And thats a player that is breaking out. He's 24 and he does things very few players in this league can do. He's disruptive on D, he attacks the basket, grabs tons of rebounds and he cannot be guarded. 40+ points and 19 FTs against Jack and Daniels who are good defensive players.

So what if it costs you. WE WANT GOOD PLAYERS.

Detroit proved you can win a title with a great team and no stars. The idea of cap space and a chance to sign a star in 2010 is great, but not if it means giving up our own guys who are turning into good players here. Wade has already said signing in NY isnt something he's interested. That leaves Lebron. After those two there are great players but not great enough where I am letting bigtime assets walk for nothing to sign

I gotta say, I do love watching Nate play. I really don't think his stock is going to go any higher than it is at presently, but I could see a lot of 2010 UFAs wanting to play with him. He gets people pumped

Fishmike, I am all for resigning Nate. In fact, I have always been high on Nate while others were saying we should get rid of him. But I still would like to resign Lebron or Bosh and I know Bosh is looking to leave Toronto and Lebron might be enticed to come to NY. Unless Walsh can figure out a way to get rid of Curry and Jeffries without taking on salary, it is unlikely we can resign Lee and Nate and still sign a Lebron James. I hope it can happen though.

I dont think Bosh is that great. We are talking about Lebron and Wade. Wade said no already which leaves Lebron. Unless DW has inside info that he PLANS on coming losing good players to clear space is total folly.

Bosh is good but he's on the Elton Brand, McDyess (pre-knee) level. Bosh would be a nice addition but he's not of the caliber you build a team around

Nate is a better player than Jameer Nelson and Mo Williams. Compare there numbers, give the kid starter minutes and he puts up all star numbers and he isn't erratic.

You want stars to put next to Lebron, Nate, Lee are it. Chandler will only get better. We need to use our draft pick with Gallo to get rid of Eddy Curry period. Walsh ****ed that one up, he ****ed up not signing these guys to better deals in the offseason, especially Nate, who could have been had for much cheaper than he is now.

Non all stars don't just average 30 over 6 games, they just don't not to mention he is one of the best rebounders at his position.

Can't let him go, he can't be stopped and is a piece to the puzzle.

Elton Brand sucks, Bosh is a much better player. When was the last time Brand proved he had any value in this league?

The sixers are 10x better without the guy, the clippers are the clippers, but one playoff birth. If he was such a leader he could have got a team with Andre Miller, Magette, Q, Odom, and himself into the playoffs.

I think it was harder to predict what Nate might do even though I always wanted to keep him as a backup pg at the very least, but I whole-heartedly agree that Walsh should have resigned Lee this past summer. We could have resigned him for $7 mill per season and just gave him a two year player option to get out of the deal. There is no way Lee would have turned down $35-$38 million guaranteed if he knew he could also get out of the deal in 2 years if he outperformed his contract.

imo walsh was right to not sign those guys over the summer. he had to see how they responded to mda's system, whether mda wanted them here long-term, not to mention whether he was willing to jeopardize 2010 for them. it was a smart gamble given what the circumstances were at the time.

PLEASE keep this kid a Knick!!!!

Like I said somewhere else, N8 is going to get paid!!! Looks like Duhon's expiring 2010 contract is going to make it possible to keep N8. I say 2010, N8 stays and Duhon winds up going or will have to take a pay cut

Nate is a freak show! Incredible to watch him.

Here is my dilema:

Can he sustain that level of athletic ability for (X) many years? Fundamentals can carry players, but he relies on freak ability.

He can have nights like this, but can he be effective on a playoff caliber team and be a part of a winning System on a consistant basis?

Lee and Nate have stepped up this year. They are players to keep, and pay.

We seem to discount their abilities. Pay them to reasonable levels. We can always trade them down the road if we so desire.

See I disagree.

If I am the GM I really spend a lot of time watching the Knicks games from the previous year and evaluate my guys. I don't think Walsh really did that. I don't think he really did that with Gallo either, and as a result passed on two allstars in waiting, for a guy that looks like a 7th man.

Lee was doing well in the preseason and looking very sharp I think you could have offered him a deal 6 years 45-50 which he was signing. Nate I think if you offered him a 4 year 16-20 million dollar deal there was a good chance he took it.

Nate has a quaility that you can't teach and everyone responds too. AI never rebounded like this either it's a great quality to have. I think Duhon is a nice player, but we can sign veteran backups for 2-3 million.

I think next year Harrington/Duhon will both be moved and should be moved. Hopefully we can add some talent in the draft and put the right guys in place with Nate/Lee/Chandler

How demoralizing must it be to be a legit NBA team and get torn up by someone that small from all over the court?

If that happened on a streetball court I'd be pissed and I'm only 6' tall.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
