Scout One Walks BACK Into A Bar And Sez...

""In Chicago, that was about them not liking him personally [more] than on the court. He's not the easiest guy on the team from a maintenance standpoint. At the end of the day, here's the thing with him: He has been on a lottery team and he's been on a team that's gone to The Finals with Cleveland. He's been on both, and both types of teams have traded him. The only thing to gather from that is his issues have been more than just basketball issues."

This should be fun.

Larry Hughes, prima donna... gets into a fight with Nate Robinson on the first day of practice.

I just want an improvement from what Q Rich has been giving us off the bench--a little more consistent. If he can do that--Im good with that. Some of the guys who pencil him in as a starter--I mean for who? He is not better than Al Harrington or Chandler. He *may* be better than Q and since we didnt pay much for him---we'll find out if he is. Q Rich has no one to cry to here--he's shooting has just never picked up enough. Is it a case where we are replacing a 38% shooter for a 38% shooter? I think Hughes can do better than that here.

Briggs - the replacement Knicks, under Donnie Walsh, are actually acquiring an Oakland Raiders type of "Island Of Lost Souls" "us against them" aura. The vets understand their auditions are a means to staying employed and the yoots are gradually grasping what it means to be in New York around the trade deadline.

as in the case of Jamal Crawford with the Bulls, Larry Hughes' talent is evident in his productive years with Washington.

Does D'Antoni convince him of his supporting role with the suddenly entertaining Knicks

or does hie ego get in the way?

stay tuned

Thats how the Pistons were built. Joe Dumars acquired players who didnt fit in elsewhere--guys like Wallace Billups Hamilton Wallace and made a championship team out of it. I still think 2010 is over rated a tad but I also realize we were one Tim Duncan banker that was three inches off from losing 7 in a row and 11 under. I think we made necessary improvements here that could effect the scoring differential. We seem to lose balance in games. I don't think Jefferies is a starter but can be effective off the bench--replace him with Wilcox and you have improved and gained balance. Same thing with Hughes--he must be given a clean slate here and could be an improvement from the inconsistent Q--subtle changes which might make the team a winning team.
We'll have to wait and see.

When was Jamal Crawford a cancer?

No, he never was. He just won or lost games for us alone; without anybody able to do anything about it. And you know it was not to many wins.

Fine line between a cancer and a loser. Crawful was just a loser. Marbury was just a pure cancer.

If Hughes will do wnat D'Antony wants and it will work for us - he will play or even start.
If not - we have long empty end of the bench close to Eddy. Eddy left so alone there so Larry can make him a company.

Q is a team oriented guy. When Marbury was talking, Q spoke out against him, and he is genuinely happy for his teammates from the bench. If Hughes is coming with some baggage then its not worth it.

Craw was never a cancer or a loser.....Steve Francis is a loser, Marbury is a cancer, Curry is a loser...

All Craw did was try hard. He was the best player on the team for years. How could a team win if Craw is the only offense? I will never **** on him and I will defend him.

This year when Zach and Craw were here the Knicks were getting it together. The Knicks as a team was still weak but the team could have tried to improve with them and might have been able to do so.

Wanna talk losers....than lee, nate, wilson, and whoever is your favorite are also losers. They haven't won yet in the league. If that's what you consider a loser than fine....I will be on the other end with the flaming middle finger.

earl apparently thinks picking out criticisms with Nate & Wilson Chandler is blasphemous, but doing so for Jamal & Larry Hughes is fair game... gotta love the hypocrisy.

Uptown - you know something you're absolutely correct. Anyone who dons the orange and blue is cool with me. Sometimes, I take deliberate liberty with the thread headlines just for entertainment purposes. This time however I accept the fact that I have failed in my responsibility as a never-say-die, "don't knock the rock", campaign manager for The Mayor and all-around giddy about my Knicks kinda guy.

I'm doing compensatory pushups as we speak.

Jamal was not a cancer, he was quite the decent interview (although over-rehearsed)... he wasn't even a playa... he just hoisted a lot.

Our new Agent Zero has a clean slate.

LOL, you were probably defending Crawford like no other when he was a Knicks. You yelled the crap out of me when I made fat jokes out of Curry. Heck, you yelled the crap out of me for making jokes about any Knick. Now you're not even giving Hughes a chance? What a weirdo.

PS: I still like Crawford.

True

Allanfan - "LOL, you were probably defending Crawford like no other when he was a Knicks."

No doubt. I still like Crawford. I wanted Jamal to play the point. Even Johnny Hoops agreed the day we talked about it at the gym. He was the innocent victim of a Steph infection.

Allanfan - You yelled the crap out of me when I made fat jokes out of Curry.

Yelled on a keyboard? Nah, I never use all caps.

Eddy Curry has deeper troubles than being overweight. I harbor more sympathy for him to get his life in order, outside of his reluctant choice to play basketball, and refuse to stoop to juvenile name-calling. I call that acting like a grown up. If Eddy Curry fat jokes make you feel better about yourself, please knock yourself out.

Allanfan - "Heck, you yelled the crap out of me for making jokes about any Knick"

I am overly protective of each and every one of my beloved Knicks. So sue me. Besides, if you can't handle some high heat on a discussion forum - you might need to check your sniffling sensitivity at the hat check counter.

Allanfan - Now you're not even giving Hughes a chance?

He's not a Knick until he suits up. Then he gets a free pass for the month of March.

Allanfan - What a weirdo.

Thank You. Weird is good. Conformity is boring.

PS: I still like Crawford.

TMS please keep that in mind when going after someone for critizing Gallo's game and potential.

i have no problem w/people judging players based on a fair sample... when u pronounce a player a bust before u even watch him play it's pretty assinine to say the least.
