Wilcox has always been an efficient scorer from the field who has never seemed to have gotten the minutes or significant role his production, on the surface, has demanded-

He is a career 52.7% shooter with his true shooting at a solid .559%. His per 36 minute averages for his career are a very solid 15.4 ppg and 8.8 rpg. That is high quality production for a starter at PF or C.

At 26 years old, having only averaged 22 mpg for his career, is he poised for a breakout with an increased role in a more wide open offensive system?

His weakness has been his D- we'll see if he can overcome that and earn more minutes.

No doubt he is a sleeper. He's a banger who can score down low, has a pretty good jumper, we know he can rebound. In this D'antoni offense, I think we can legitimately see him average 17 and 10.

He isn't really a center. He is closer to 6'9'' and that might be being generous than being 6'10 or more.

Wilcox is a bust. He has motivational problems.

He is cap fodder.

If he plays well we can sign him for two years at a low price.

I don't see him as a bust- he's been reasonably productive.

well, he's a wild card. he could be good, but he certainly fell out of favor in Seattle/OKC. it's certainly worth a look though.

Wilcox is a good deal. Hughes Im more skeptical about--he's been bad for years and he hasnt played in awhile. If this takes away from Chandler or Nates time--it could backfire.

He doesn't need a lot of shots and he can still be pretty productive scoring the ball. He'll immediately become our 2nd best rebounding presence.

By default. We had a terrible rebounding team - Wilcox will help immensely. If Chris gets 30mpg I can see him grabbing 10-12 rebounds a game.

Wilcox should give us a good idea if Lee's rebounding numbers are inflated due to the lack of height/rebounders that he plays with.

Wilcox was drafted as an athletic defender. I think he's a great fit.

No downside to Hughes either. He's a good defender at the two. He's Crawford with size and defense. A little flakey but this why MDA is here... to keep scorers happy. I think with these players and this coach we should make the post season. This is finally a team with an identity and Wilcox really gives us some legit size.

Exactly. What these trades do is improve our d. Also, Larry Hughes has a pretty good jumper - I think he's hitting about 40% of his three's this season.

Wilcox is a bust and he wasn't drafted as an athletic defender. Coming out of Maryland this guy was suppose to be huge. His offensive game never developed to a point where he was consistent. He shown flashes during his contract year but faded soon after.

Wilcox ended up being more useful that Jared Jeffries, who was also one of the guys we were rumored to take that year. He has shown a good scoring rate (per minute) and shooting efficiency every year he's been in the league despite being a dissapointment.

one thing about Hughes - the last time he was near a contract year he played his butt off. he's only 29. maybe he'll play his butt off for one last contract and a chance to save his career.

22pts 6rebs 5asts 3stls. he plays extremely well in up tempo games. he's not a shooter, but a slasher, something we kinda need more of. i think he'll be a good fit, provided his head is on straight - hey, it's a better situation for him than Chicago.

one thing about Wilcox - I wonder if he REALLY works out here if he's been brought in to possibly replace Lee?

um hate to inform you guys but Hughes is NOT a good defender. Although i will say that Hughes is an upgrade on defence over crawford but thats not saying much.

Hughes' strength is getting steals. Back when he was healthy and getting minutes he was always around the league lead in steals.
