from the point where I couldnt get my hand into my pocket--it was basically a limb that had no function to me--8 years later I can now do push ups--chop wood, eat with it etc.. I cant throw a baseball football basketball well or at all etc.. but all of these years of hard work gave me atleast solid function where I can put food in my mouth when for years I could not move it past my waste. So remember patience and hard work with anything you do--if a younger person reads this--understand it--if things are not going well for you in any aspect---keep working hard--keep plugging away even if it does not produce results. Ill see if someone can help me throw a picture up of what was an emaciated atrophied burden that had no life to what it is now to show how far I came from.

Oh that sucks! My dad had to retire early (at 57) because he has a very rare neurological disorder (spinocerrebelar ataxia type 15) that affects his walking, balance, sense of touch (he basically has none), and vision. It really sucks. He manages as well as anyone could though.

That's great Briggs. I'm really glad to hear how far you've come in your rehab and recovery. I'm sure it's a testament to a lot of hard agonizing work on your part. I wish you continued success with your battle.

IN-freaking-Credible man!!!
Thats beautiful. Slow and steady progress. I caannot imagine what it was like for you 8 years ago, but I know you are so happy for believing in yourself and following through. This is really inspirational, because i'm sitting here trying to drop 30 pounds and you fought to regain a limb. Ok, now i feel like a loser consider nothing is stopping except for my indomitable will to be a fat ass. Thanks Briggs

for a long time--i still do--and it's not easy even after all this time. I can balance the computer better the last 1.5 and can use my right hand to maneuver the mouse and click but my fingers on the right side arent going to help me type very well although I try to use them. My arm moves up and down and I have good strength in my hand but the fingers still only move like an older person shaky weak. I can do push ups but I cant do things where the fingers are used in an agility action. You don't want me to be your surgeon or driving you in a car where there is a stick shift. I have methodical use of it but it's great to have it--believe me. Ive had this since 2000 but I've been pretty good sans one period of time two years ago[i probably didn't post here for 3-4 months] Montell Williams has it for about as long as I have had it --it's just something you learn to deal with. There are some things that you can't control like getting tired at crazy times-- balance --like sometimes I can feel sick walking through the grocery store or the mall etc..but you adjust.

Briggs, congrats on the hard work and good luck with the future.
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate
