If he was 6'8" he might be the Knicks next center.

This guy easily had a triple double...robbed of a few blocks.

The best thing that could ever happen to this franchise would be for a miracle in the lottery, and to then draft Hasheem.

He is way better than people think he is. Number 1 he is a legit 7-3--no one has seen anything like this guy. Yao Ming may be 7-6 but he doesnt have the wingspan athletic ability lateral speed and snake-like quickness with those arms that Hasheem has on the D. He makes up so much space with one movement. The big thing is the improved hands. He's catching everything and finishing at various angles along with that new jump shot he has displayed. He was absolutely spen--think Nate after 35 minutes--he was moving slower at the end of the game but how could he not at 7-3 275--he did not get 1 break in and up and down game.

Monster game for Thabeet. Two more games I wanna see today at 4pm - Iowa State @ Oklahoma State (YES Network) and Cincy @ Pittsburgh (ESPN). Another chance to take a look at 6'10" Craig Brackins who's finally starting to get a little recognition after that monster game against Kansas & against Oklahoma where he held his own against Blake Griffin. Draftexpress.com actually has him all the way up to #20 on their mock. There's a nice current write up on him there as well... And I like DuJuan Blair for Pitt. a lot. He's a little undersized but he's just a relentless little bulldog of a player. Very hardnosed. Havent seen him in a couple of weeks since Pitt. beat Syracuse. Blair vs. big Yancy Gates is an interesting matchup. Gates can play a little...

Also tonight at 9pm we got St. John's @ Marquette on SNY (Jerel McNeal) & Ohio State @ Wisconsin on ESPN (BJ Mullens).

Get those TiVos goin' lovebirds! HAHA!

Briggs, you gotta ask yourself "Can his body physically handle this system?". Honestly. Is he going to get bigger and put on weight? I mean the NBA is hard on the body anyway, but in a running system big centers, even über athletic ones, the force on their body is much more than a smaller "fill in" center. Maybe he could be a 25 minute a night kind of guy.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for jumping up in the lottery and having a shot at him. My above question is something I've wondered about with this system anyway.

Props to the guy tonight. I know without seeing the game that 9 blocks probably meant that he got inside the opponents players heads and probably altered another 10 - 10 shots. (Am I close? ;)

By the way, wouldn't it be great if NY got a top pick in the draft? That would help out our offseason plans.

Thabeet would be great.

Even if he didn't pan out he would be worth the risk. The potential of what he could be for someones team is just to great.

I think he came in second in the Husky 5 mile run at the start of training camp. He has incredible stamina for someone that size. A little guy wouldve been gassed for what he did today.
He is NOT a skinny guy--he's got big legs and hes in good cut up shape.

“Thabeet, to me, might be the best player in the country,” Seton Hall coach Bobby Gonzalez said. “I don’t know who has a better player than him, who has a more dominant guy than him in the country. He, to me, is the No. 1 player in America. In my opinion from what I have seen, you know I am not trying to push him out the door, have him go pro, but if I was an NBA franchise I would take him No. 1 in the draft.”

Well I wouldnt take him 1 but I would take him 2. I cant imagine if a bad team somehow got the two top picks and grabbed Griffin and Thabeet.

I would love Thabeet. Therefore it's not happening b/c everyone I want the Knicks to draft don't get drafted by the Knicks. I'm rooting for the Knicks to draft air.

Would never happen Briggs. It's kind of messed up that there is no way the knicks would spend all these years trying to get a replacement for Ewing and now we have no chance of ever picking that kind of center, or any center for that matter.

Our team won't be bad enough for us to get a high pick. So we should just stop dreaming

Knicks should have put feelers out last year that they wanted this guy. I think he would have lasted to 6 in the 2008 draft. Oh well. I hear there is a 18 year old Serbian SF/PF/C that can stroke the 3 and has great handles for a guy his size. Think of the possibilities. Oh course his real position is SF, so he should be a perfect fit.

Briggs, I'm coming around. This guy is doing some otherworldly stuff this year.

if we could get him or Jennings I'd be pretty pumped.

Unlikely though.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

The best way to change this franchise is to try and get a top 2 pick at this point. At this point lets just develop guys and trade off[if we can] guys like Duhon who might still have some decent value--this is not a good team---we gaev it a shot 10 games under after 53 games ===tank it

There will still be knuckle heads on this board who don't think Thabeet should be the Knicks pick if available.

The kid is an awesome game changer on defense and will be more than adequate at the offensive end over time.

Love to buy a pick late to get Meeks as well. He's been killing it this year. Nice guard to bring off the bench once we start to piece this team together.

He kind of reminds me of a type of Golden State Warrior player. A little short but has some nice athletic ability to make up for it and one heckuva scorer.
