as a starter in 44 games 17 points 12.5 rebs and 57% FGs 37 minutes a game, 25 years old and an RFA so you control his destiny

Whats that worth? I would think a top 3 pick or bigtime prospect coming back.

He is 3rd in rebounding
He is 4th in FG% and that huge when your scoring 17 a game
At 43rd in the league he is a legit point producer as well (somehow 'scorer' doesnt sound right)

What is a good trade?

I've been going back and forth with TMS for a minute on this topic, but yeah a top 3 pick or a player like Aldridge is the only thing I'm going to take seriously at this point.

Just look at those numbers.

Devils Advocate- and I would even go with our record- but if he is such a good rebounder & third in the league, why is our team differential as high as it is?

If he is a good rebounder, either our differential shouldn't be as high, or he should be grabbing more boards.

Someone like a Dennis Rodman would be grabbing about 25 boards a game on this roster.

If Lee was playing PF and we had a C who could grab some rebounds, I think the story would be different. As it is, Jefferies guards a lot of perimeter players, Al is a wuss and TT is kinda in the same boat. It's the construction of the team.

Top 3 pick value or top prospect. Anything less would be very dissapointing.

If we got Portland to pony up Bayless, Frye, and a top-10 protected first round pick, I would go home with that and be happy. I think Seattle and Memphis are the only teams that might consider giving us their top-5 pick because they need a PF. A deal of Wilcox and Seattle's Pick (which should be no worse than 5) would be another solid deal.

why do folks always want Frye back in any deal with POR? the dude sucks. And I don't really fall for the "he would fit in the big-man shooting for MDA's system" reason: if he could hit the outside shot and play reasonably well in all the other facets of the game, he would be playing, and yet he is not.

Martin, it is all about perspective. When you compare Frye to our present big men of Curry and Jeffries, then Frye starts to look a whole lot better. Jeffries cannot hit an open shot and Curry cannot stay in shape. Getting Frye as a filler would at least give us a competent back up. Frye is really only filler in the deal. The real issue is getting Bayless (who I think can be a taller version of Nate with better defense potential and allow us to trade Nate next week for another asset) and a 1st round pick.

if it's filler, demand Outlaw or Marshall.

We need an attacking player more than anything. If you could get Gay and a pick, that would be nice.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Would you trade Lee/Gallo for Larmcus Aldridge?

I wouldn't give up both of those guys for LA.

Lee for Alridge, I would defintely do though.

How about Lee and pick for LA?
Gallo/Nate for Anthony Randolf

Aldridge-C
Chandler-SG
Randolf-SF
Duhon-PG

That's a pretty good core with room to sign more free agents in 2010.
