Donnie Walsh and Glen Grunwald were watching intently as Golden State's Anthony Randolph went through his pregame drills early Tuesday in Oakland. Hours later, Walsh was huddling with Bill Duffy, Randolph's soon-to-be agent.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

LOL at the title

Briggs, I dig (most) of your posts but...

I would also love if we can get Randolph over here. As Briggs has said (again and again ;) he would fit our system well and fill a defensive void.

So, who do we give up to get him? Would Chandler get it done. I only say Chandler cause if management is certain on Lebron, then Chandler could be spared.

Lee is too much to give up for him, considering Randolph is a bit immature and Lee is just about an all star. If Lee is involved we would have to be giving up Curry or the like, which still I probably wouldn't do.

If GS is thinking of getting rid of Ellis, then perhaps Nate could be an option too...

If Walsh is close with Bill Duffy, then something can happen...

Unless you see Randolph as a center in the mold of a Bosh/KG type in Mike's system there is no reason to trade for him. In 2 years the plan is supposed to be Bosh and Bron. That makes Randolph a bench player. You also have Wilson and Gallo at the 3/4 spots. Unless Donnie is looking at a Monta Ellis/Anthony Randolph deal this makes no sense.

I wonder if there is anyway for there to be a three way trade between g state, phoenix & NY- g state wants Amare, but has no expirings - perhaps we contribute Malik Rose's deal.

Donnie might as well see if he can get Eric Gordon and Brook Lopez too... Gotta get back to June 26, 2008. Hey Donnie don't forget to buy that 2nd round pick and pick up Mario on your way back.

If this kid could put on serious weight, he could be a great big man, but I don't see it happening. Still, he has a unique skill set.

How about this deal - Chandler and Jeffries for Randolph and Turiaf?

We get the better big man and defender. They get a more versatile forward. It will help us cap wise in 2010 and Turiaf will be making about $2.5m less than Jeffries in that year.

Trading Chandler seems insane first of all. No matter who is coming back.

If we're trying to get Ranolph back... isn't that Lee's ticket out of town? Lee seems to play better at Center... at least against most teams, than he does at any other position.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

This is probably off the wall....but would you be willing to take on Monta Ellis's long term contract if it also moved JJ2?

the kid can be a good player, but he plays the game like a dummy at times. He gambles way too much and tries to block shots that he should never touch.. He is a young kid, but he seems like a mental mess at times... nellie can do that to you tho.. LOL

I think the idea is that the Knicks MIGHT BE CONSIDERING trading Lee, Wilson, Gallo, or Nate for Randolph.

Well Nelly doesn't like young players for some reason, hopefully this is a player we could get in the future.
