He runs, blocks shots, rebounds and doesn't want the ball on offense.
sounds like jeffries..
Yeah he sounds just like Jefferies
Chris Andersen is leading the league in shot blocking per 48 minutes--avg over 2 blocked shots per game in a 19 minute average. he is among the top of the league in rebounds per minute he's averaging 6.5 points shooting a staggering 58%.
I don't know the inner workings of the Knicks--if they are about to take on 20 mm in salary for next year to get a C[which by the way could drastically change chemistry] or if they are willing to unleash a full or partial MLE that runs not only in to 2010 but 2011 etc.. I don't know that. I do know you win games by deifferential--our differential is not bad. Replacing Jefferies with such an effiecnt player who impacts games on the defense--who could change our last placed shot blocking differential to the positive side without having a big effect on the team chemistry[he doesnt need the ball to be effective] If you can get this player for the LLE 2 years 3.2mm that is a lot of bang for your buck without changing salary structure. In terms of his problem---wasnt the owner of the Knicks a drunk? The Birdman looks and acts a lot like a guy who is on the straight path and the cost of bringing him in is neglible. He was given a chance this year by Denver and he has succeeded---he's not a three times and your out guy--he had one problem and paid his price. I don't see what is out there that fits what we need i.e---cheap with contract that does not effect 2010 much better than Andersen short term. The guy ranks up with the most efficient players in the NBA and fits in well with a fast-paced game.
Which differential are you talking about? Points, boards or blocks? Because the last two are horrible, and you're right, adding someone like Anderson would pretty much instantly start to improve those problems.
And I don't see him as having a problem meshing with this offense.
However, I doubt he leaves, and I doubt he comes to us.
From your thread title, I was expecting to see you talk up some college kid (besides Thabeet).
I know the chances of us winning a top three pick are extremely remote, especially after Chicago beat the odds last year, but a person can dream, I guess
