Hello all. I'm a long time reader (since Jamal Crawford coming to NY was still gaining steam in the Post)and finally decided to register. I love the site just as much as I love my Knicks.

I've learned over the better part of the last decade to temper my expectations...especially when things are going well. But this season seems a bit different (even though I was in Section 101 last night witnessing Kobe and Gasol dismantle us). Our coach is fired up and teaching almost all the time. Our GM is sticking to the plan he set forth (so far). The players (for the most part) are working their tails off. And most importantly, we have talent that is willing to buy into a team oriented system.

I think the most important addition has been Duhon. I was happy with him as a stop gap between now and 2010, but he's a really good PG. I hope he stays and continues to grow with the Yoots. And of course, Lee has been fantastic. We need him here up to and beyond 2010. But as we saw last night, we need a Superstar here to have this roster (Lee, Chandler, Duhon, Gallo) compliment him.

As for how far we can go this season, I won't be surprised if we lose all 3 games this week and miss the 8th seed by 5 games. I will be surprised, though, if this team stops competing every single night. I think we can make a serious run at the Playoffs.

I think we're seeing the beginning of a Franchise we can be proud of again. I'll always love my Knicks no matter what, but I want the pride back. And it's coming back for sure. Last night hurt, but we got beat by a hell of a team. We still played hard for most of the game. I was happy with the effort.

Finally, I promise at least 1 Alba post per week.

I found section 101 seats yesterday afternoon on StubHub for $92 each.

I read DJ's reasoning for jumping ship. As a former season ticket holder myself, I can't blame him. However, I also can't relate at all because there's jsut too much history with me and the Knicks. The first thing I was ever really passionate about.

NCAA Hoops is great. I can't stand College Football though.

im another n00b to the board. i figured id post in this thread to avoid the clutter of a new thread, so apologies in advance. long time reader of this board. since fellow fans of the knicks seem to have a decent time on here, so what the heck, join up. ive been a fan since PE sr's rookie year in the league. if i defend steve blake, juan dixon, joe smith, chris wilcox, to name a few, im a terp grad. i wont defend francis so much (or isiah)...

yup. the recruits post NC were highly "rated" and they didnt do much. i know some folks who chip in $$$ to the program who think GW is toast (and the fball coach too). the AD came out in support of the coach though i think this was to get the local media to stop with the stories/rumors.

ooo.. i HATE dook. the team gettin smoked by puke (puke/dook who cares, i heat em) last weekend sucked. the terp boards are BRUTAL and after losses... WOW. for the record, i dont hate duhon now, just in college and when he isnt/wasnt on the knicks...

I'm a St. Johns fan. My garden favorite was beating UConn, a few years back, in the Big East Tourney. Man, we KILLED them. Wow.

Personally, I think Williams is a very good coach, I hope he doesn't get fired. I HATE the ACC but Maryland is the one team I always root for from that conference, partly because I loved those Blake/Dixon/Wilcox teams. Hopefully Williams can get this thing turned around quick.

whats your college conf/team preference? i dont think GW has the time, though the weak economy may give it to him. he has quite a bit of money remaining and a buyout doesnt make much sense $$$ wise right now.

I went to URI, but they suck lol.

I almost went to URI. If Odom was still going to be there when I started my Freshman year I might have gone.
Instead I got to watch Tom Brennan coach my beloved University of Vermont Catamounts to the dance and beat Syracuse in 2005. America East all the way.
