he said on espn news that bosh has already informed toronto that he will not be re-signing there and that miami wants bosh (and not jermaine) in their discussions with colangelo.

SAS has about a 0.025% success rate but i figure it's good enough gossip to chew on...

Miami has nothing to offer Toronto for Bosh unless they trade Beasley. Toronto is not going to take Chalmers and Cook back with Marion for Bosh. Ain't happening.

You know dj, I always thought that people joked around with you that you were a Raptors fan but you really are. you have like 9000 posts on RealGM on the Raptors forum. I just saw it the other day. What's the deal man? Why do you post here if you support the Raps?

I guess it's not but I'm a pretty old school type of guy. I root for one team and one team only. I put all my passion into my team. I can't split that passion into two.

DJ used to be a huge Knicks fan up until they fired Larry Brown.

i was a season ticket holder and bled orange and blue. and then after they fired larry brown, i wanted the team to lose so they could fire isiah. and during that span i realized that i always hated on the team and reached an epiphany that i was really no longer a fan of theirs. and starting in the 05/06 season, i got league pass and started watching the raps. so i was dually following both teams and found that i actually cheered for the raptors as the years went on and didn't for the knicks. so in january 2008, i basically quit the knicks fulltime. i've watched a total of 6 games this year mainly b/c there was nothing else to watch.

i post here b/c i know a ton of people on this site and it's still the best site to discuss stuff and post pics of hot chicks.

the knicks completely changed how i view sports in general. and being a season ticket holder actually made me not be a fan of theirs anymore. i now am quite homerish when it comes to my other teams now - yanks, raps, and redskins. but the relationship with the knicks has been severed...

I know and understand you, but not everybody is black or white (not skin, just colors) in terms of sports. Some are gray and like more than one. For example, in the years the Knicks were always being eliminated and the Pistons were the best team in the league, I loved Detroit for their passion on defense and their amazing team effort. I didn't follow their every game nor their moves as I did/do with the Knicks, but I did pay more attention to them than, say, the Nuggets or any other team.

you should read what their fans say these days. they're just as bi-polar and full of hate as knicks fans are. 1/2 of them are screaming to trade bosh + jose and were ready to trade bargs for a 2nd rounder before his january breakout month.

Of course. Who the hell wants to play in Toronto? The only one who seemed somewhat interested is Steve Nash, who ironically never went.

I feel you, but with no disrespect, I guess you were never a die hard fan. Because for me, I have been a die hard since 1980, and nothing will ever, change the way I feel about this team. I may get upset, but never will I put them behind another NBA franchise in my support. I follow the hawks, was a season ticket holder for 2 years, but the hawks will always be a second or third team for me, in the NBA.. Your switch to the raps is understandable but also a bit odd....

try having season tix and sit through 40 games a year during the isiah era. it changed me and how i viewed the team. if i'm constantly complaining about them every day, then why am i watching them? i wasn't getting any enjoyment and was taking it too personally - mainly b/c i was paying $$$'s for tix. so i quit them.

Thats crazy. Another reason to thank God fans aren't GMs. Im afraid that if they don't handle all this situation properly, any improvement they had obviously done will be flushed away.

I completely understand you and the truth is, everyone has a different way of handling different situations.

During the Isiah years I couldn't care less for the team. Never stopped being a fan, and once in a while I logged on to discuss anything here and see their boxscores, but that era, coming after a bad Layden era, was extremely painful. The whole Isiah, Marbury and Brown charade was ludicrous. We kept making horrible trades and where the laughingstock of the league. Not easy for any fan when you remember that fans identify something of the team with themselves and root for them all the time. Im sure a lot here became inlove of the Knicks during their gritty, defensive and team oriented years. Maybe they found that quality in them and simply saw the team as an extension of them. Either way, the last regime was a farse and it was evident because people wouldn't post regularly.

I just tuned out. I kept loving the Knicks, what they meant to me, but didn't care for those versions because they weren't what I thought a Knicks team was. Today, I care a little more because I see some positive steps, but Im still skeptical until the plan is fulfilled. I, personally, when it comes to the NBA, no matter how much I hate the present players or management, the Knicks will always be in first place. Im not saying this to make it look like Im such a pure fan, no. Its just the way it is somehow. Im actualy not a newyorker, have actually never been to NY, but I still consider NY my second home for some reason. Love the Yanks and Giants too. Just the way it is.

And in a world full of so many different people, there just can't be one way to be a fan. We are more complicated than that, haha.

I went through a similar process but I never migrated to another basketball team. I've watched parts of games, but I feel very detached and uninterested in pro basketball generally.
