Step off the ledge, Misterearl.

From theknicksblog.com (which is not NEARLY as good as Metsblog)
Sources have told me that Wilson Chandler will indeed be coming off the bench in favor of Al Harrington starting tonight against the Rockets.

As I said earlier Chandler could use a little less work and the offense needs Harrington to make shots so that they don’t fall behind, as has been the case lately.

The bench has been performing great lately, so I don’t think this is a demotion, just the opportunity for the second-year Chandler to get a lighter work load for the time being.

Unless of course, he plays great. Then D’Antoni will have to judge how he uses him minutes-wise.

Jeffries has been playing well lately. No coincidence that our record and our defense are better since he came back.

He is not even guarding centers. Mike D needs to let Chandler try to guard point guards and see what happens. A few games ago Jeffries was -17 on the court yet he still gets to start. It's like Jeffries get unconditional love from Mike D.

It's like he is scared to get block so he rushes his shots. Some please tell Jeffries it's ok to get block and then go up strong.It's even worse to miss wide open layups.

Alright, I need some good UK analysis (I'm already asking for trouble) because I dont get to see Knick games.

So whats Chandler's deal? His numbers look good, whats wrong with his game right now and how is his slump being manifested?

Seems to have lost his confidence for one thing. His post up game is non existent. And just as last year, he seemed to thrive more off the bench, so I suspect he'll do the same if they keep him there. I just don't think he's ready for big time minutes at this point.
I'll never trust this' team again.

God? Of course not. When Tim Thomas is more aggressive than you there's a problem there. Yet, he shot well, so maybe it's a sign that like Nate he's coming out of the shooting slump.

Outside of that the guy needs to be more aggressive. One good aggressive dunk once a week will NOT cut it. The passive attitude WONT cut it. Someone must light a fire under this kid's ass or he will forever be a role player....on even a bad team of which we are.

The skills seem to be there but where is the heart and fire? It does not exist. Put Nate's fire inside Chandler and you've got yourself a player. Unfortunately it's not that easy.

Wilson is OK.
He is a nice piece to build the team.
Not demanding and manageable material.
And remember this is basically his first year. And pretty good year regardless of the fact that he hit the wall at some point.
